Great news about Ryan and Jan. The fact that Danny is even being thought about for Friday is just incredible, but if true, worth a dozen points!

It truly is fantastic news, it really can't be overstated Danny is, well all 3 are to our team.

I don't think Danny will feature, as saints won't want him called up., Gives him the recovery time he needs.

The transformation of JWP has been one of several huge factors in the last 6 to 9 months. He wasnt playing at all well for a period and seemed reliant on set pieces to get a match. How that has changed. He looks a proper midfield premiership player and the set pieces are now the icing on the cake. Not that such a comment does them justice he is arguably the best in the league which by default makes him one of the best in the world. He is still too slow to spot the forward pass sometimes but if he has that too he would probably be at a top 4 club by now - hold that; we are a top 4 club now(!)

Update on Danny Ings

Southampton striker Danny Ings has undergone a scan on his knee following Sunday’s game at Aston Villa, the initial results of which are favourable ahead of further assessment over the coming days.

Ings was forced off in the 85th minute of Saints’ 4-3 victory at Villa Park, in which he scored his fifth Premier League goal of the season, with that effort also turning out to be the match winner.

After having the scan on Sunday night, the club conducted a further assessment of Ings this morning and will continue to monitor him throughout the week.

Yep, thinking this too. Saints could tactically just leave him out on Friday and then ring the FA and tell them to let him sit this one out. :)

Who is the real JWP?, he is about 4 players in one, he could play the Lampard role, Beckham, Steven Davis and fill in at RB/RWB...he even played at LB yesterday!

Oh and he is the Skipper now too!

It's chaired by David Coleman, and Kenneth Wolstenholme does the commentary - "There's people on the pitch, they think it's all over"

The programme was interrupted with some bad news about The Titanic...

So its a proper TV programme again. Thank goodness for that.

PS Don't tell Ralph about the Titanic.

Agreed.

Though right now the biggest turnaround is Vesty.

I'm sad enough to notice these things, but Vestergaard looks like he's got a new hair style. He used to have long(ish) hair, and now that it's shorter, his all-round play has definitely improved. (To be filed under unlikely 'cause and effect' bullshit)
