How many team mates are involved with his free kicks?

    We can compare attributes

Robert was good at more things corners.
    free kicks, assists and goals.

    If max improves great

ASM's goals have often secured vital points. It's not just about how much you score, it's when. Far better you score twice to rescue a point or get a win, then score 4 goals in one game to win 4-0.

He also does set up plenty of chances. It's not his fault he was often playing as a striker in a 5-3-2 formation.

He deserves a chance in a proper team.

ASM is at best a mid table PL player
Robert was a top 6 PL player for us
Ginola was a top 2 PL player

    Pace, dribbling.

I'm not saying Max was better than Robert, I'm saying the comparison is stupid and I fail to see why it matters in the long run.

Maxi is getting unfair hatred because of poor subs performances recently. He should be starting games when we're attacking, not coming on late.

Pace I think is probably right but Robert was rapid himself, but I'll give you both

    Robert

    Corners
    Crossing
    Passing
    Free kicks
    Goals/ Assists and therefor productivity

I like max mate but he really needs to tick more boxes that's all I'm saying

I understand but remember he was only 22 when we got him, and he's now only 25. He was in a **** bruce team before in a crap formation that didn't suit his abilities.

Robert's goals talley was usually only 5/6 per season also, and Max still has time to score more.

I can't wait to see how ASM does when he gets an actual run in a 4-3-3 formation under this Howe team.

Woodcock? Is that a blend of Woodgate and Peacock? You can't just cheat (as usual) and put every player you like by combining names so you can cover more people. What are you like?

    Anyway, I'd personally go with:

    Givernicek
    Bartrippier
    Beresanton
    Woodcock
    Albercolo
    Speedolano
    Cabatty
    BeardsLee
    Ferdinacisse
    Shearasprilla
    Ginolabert

Well done. You spotted the deliberate mistake.. Congratulations. I wondered whether anyone would spot that or not.

As you quite rightly deduced the player I was really referring to was Woodgate.

Based on part of a season? Next you’ll be saying Andy Carroll was one of our best ever strikers.

If Cryuff or Pele at their peak had played for us for one and a half seasons and played half the games I would probably be saying they had been the best player we ever had. So yes even though he only played about 30 odd games for us he was easily the best defender I have ever seen at Newcastle.

Yes he's still young enough to improve and like I say I like him alot he's one of our best players, so there's no point bashing him like some do on twitter.. I don't understand that

There's nothing wrong with me chatting about his downfalls on here though it's not because I don't like the lad far from it.

I always hope he's on the teamheet.

Strangely, no I did not say that. You might notice that you actually said that and not me. What I'm saying is what I wrote. Whilst he was promising whilst here AC wouldn't rank any where near being one of the best strikers I have ever sen at Newcastle even just based on his time here. Hope that clarifies that point.

    Personally agree with this tbh.

I think the thing is with Max is he has sooooo much potential if he can refine his game. There’s a seriously great player in the making if he can chose better options.

He doesn’t have to work back as day a Fraser type because he should be that outlet player who relieves pressure but sometimes it also invites it.

He is one of them players that every team needs to unlock defences and do something different.

Having him on the pitch sometimes frees up space for others because the opposition has to focus on doubling up against him.
