biggest load of **** ive heard from the twat in recent years. * no money from recent sales will come off the price of the club, he wouldnt say what the price of the club is, it fluctuates apparently. * any money from the bowen sale or future sales will purely go on balancing the books, eg, player wages, transfers etc. (would love to know how they're going to get their money back from us then, if it isnt player sales) * the intention is still to sell, there's still interest in the club.. (there's always been interest enob, you'll just keep knocking it back whilst your bleeding us dry) to summarise, what a smarmy twat, answered everything without giving a real answer and with a smile on his face.
**** me we are stuck with 4-3-3 as we are "building an identity for the club and recruiting for a 'certain style of play'.
I would love to know what our net spend on transfers has been over the last few seasons. I know the club made a hell of a lot of money in player sales. If the club has been run properly then the parachute payments took care of wages. All the transfer income should obviously come off the asking price of the club?? I know I’m over simplifying it but that’s the basic gist of it surely. SO HOW THE **** HAS THE ASKING PRICE NOT COME DOWN YOU DESPICABLE PAIR OF LEECHES!?
Exercise in managing expectations it would seem. At least he fronted up and we know the score. There won't be promotion chasing levels of investment until the club is sold. The only way expenditure will increase is if income increases. Only real positive is confirmation that the debt is coming down.
Maybe there won’t be promotion chasing levels of investment until we get fans back In the ground?? Paying money in season passes and spending in the club shop and online ?
That's on the money - player sales will keep the club ticking over, what we've had in the past and what's been done with it is neither here nor there. This (your post) is where we are now.
I think that even if every seat was sold for every game plus their additional spending on merchandise, food and drinks it wouldn't be enough to fund promotion.
Sorry, I must have missed that part. Where did he say that? The only part I remember is where he says we've never said £50m is the asking price. Errrm, not you ehab but daddy did in his November interview. Quite clearly, "£50m is the debt owed, £50m is the asking price" Quite embarrassing really he doesn't acknowledge that.
But it would be a start And it would say even with poor owners the fans back the club Now we’re back to just be seen as a **** supported club and soon it’ll be back where we belong in the third division
Get another 10k in the ground and we'd generate about £3.5m, it's the fee and wage for one decent player (two at a push), you can't really get competitive in this league on gate money, the Brentford model is the way to do it (assuming you've got a good enough recruitment team).
