Two tests done, finished, all over, in two days. Awwwww poor cricket australia. Has the groundsman been sacked? That pitch just lost them some 90,000 times three times the price of your ticket.
yep that's what'll really hurt, CA will no doubt be utterly fuming about that....strange thing is similar pitch was prepared last year Vs India with 10mm of grass and it went to the last session on day 5

Yes I agree with you, don’t know why the curator presented such a wicket
What pisses me off is that I had to pay an extra 6 $ for a refund, and I received a text from Ticketek that my tickets will be automatically be refunded
Many years ago I had tickets for the Fourth day finished 3rd day , refund no problem no paying extra etc.
Corporate domination
Btw any city supporters in Melbourne at the moment let me know, time on my hand
CITY TILL I DIE

Ah, got done over with fourth day tickets and thought, this year I will play it smart. Hey ho.

I did the same thing 3 rd day should be good
Anyway Melbourne is good, are you still around
If not take care

Sorry, that was my poor post. I was commiserating with you. I am not there. And I could have worded the last bit without there being a chorus of, "not there, aint that the truth"

Good write up in the guardian, this passage precisely encapsulates this tour, 'But let us be clear also: it is by no means a vindication of another losing tour, or of a failing executive tier. In fact, this is the opposite. What winning in Melbourne says is: here is what you could have had. Here is evidence that Australia were vulnerable, and for good reason too. They came into this game with three all-time bowlers missing. Mitch Starc has had to play every Test. The batting isn’t really there. This team was vulnerable.'

I can’t really agree
The series was over the Aussies had switched off mentally as pro’s do when there’s nothing to play for

U know this tour has been shocking with players not actually playing proper cricket as a warm up for this series
But
That’s the first win in a test match in Oz since 2011
Shocking stat that

Fair to say that there's still a bit riding on this, for both teams....for the Aussies, lose this and only win 3-2 at home after blanking us for 15 years and there will be questions raised, Khawaja is retiring and it could also be time for some others too, Labuschagne will be really under pressure and the bowling attack in general.....I don't see many of the big 4 making the next ashes so a lot of pressure on the other bowlers. For England we find ourselves in a weird place I reckon, there is a LOT of frustration with this team and set up from MD down, but come away with a 3-2 win and I wonder how much will actually change? Would they walk away with a 3-2 loss and call it a great improvement and justification of our approach to test cricket? Like picking up a win when your manager is absolutely **** which keeps him in place that much longer, would we actually be better off losing this??

Well, decent start on the face of it, but don't know how seriously to take this. Crawley and Duckett did themselves no favours, Root's doing a Root and Brook might have learnt something? Who knows.

More days lost to weather at Sydney than Manchester in past few years.....who'd have thought it....

Stayed up for the first hour.....so missed most of the good stuff! Thought Duckett got a decent ball, Crawley was batting sensibly but missed a straight one inexplicably and Bethell got a goodish ball too, but he's just not a #3, not yet anyway, good luck getting red ball practice tho as a white ball player he'll not play more than one or 2 4 day games in the next couple of years
