With moeen it's more a case of trying to turn him into something he wasn't rather than developing what he was imo

For me he was a decent bat who could bowl a bit. But they tried to turn him into a bowler who could bat.

This has always been my problem with England cricket tbh (and I'm a fan). I think there is over coaching and not enough natural development on player strengths.

Neither are all Australian players all born in Australia .

I agree .

Generally Australia has better players than England , but it is their Number 1 sport .

I'm not so sure mate. I remember the talk in the WC. It was always "if England bat first they win, batting second they fold"

Some of the power players seemed to live up to this.

so England have seemingly failed to win the ashes for every reason including who bats first rather than Australia being better in every department on more occasions than England.

TBF .

Cricket is their number 1 sport and they are ruthless . Yes they cross the line , but I think Cricket Australia is to blame for a lot of it .

Even Sandpapergate .

Oh look ..shock horror .

But lets only give them a 1 year ban , that way they can play in the world cup and the Ashes .

If the players know they will get away with murder , they will try it .

Again I think a major part of all this is it is their #1 Sport .
