Nah. Smith is the difference. Take him out and you’re looking at two evenly matched sides.

Bruv, you can’t really preach on class when pretending to support the Australian cricket team.

pretending? this isn't an episode of eastenders mate I really really want Australia to win. Ive always like Australia when it comes to cricket and tended to dislike the English players. you've attached yourself to England in the same way and its no different.

I cant preach about class ? ive been insulted several times and over the course of it turned the other cheek! I also credited England and stokes last test match as I will this tie if they hang in there . Im not going to act like a child and make excuses and take it out on other posters enjoying the result.

Don’t try and be funny mate, you’re really not bright enough.

Smith’s batting will be the difference in this series. Otherwise you’re looking at two pretty evenly matched sides.

whos being funny ? it was a question that I think needed answering given your claim.
hes made a huge difference that's obvious but hes part of a team and the better team at that.

I never said England were not close to Australia but regardless they haven't been as good and are not the better side

I’ve attached myself to England because I happened to be born and live there.

The point about preaching was doing so on behalf of the Australian cricket team is mental because they’re about as unclassy an organisation as there is.

Yeah “you” are the better team for now. We’ve sold our soul to other forms of the game.

firstly not even the English team are all born here

secondly Im talking about specific individuals showing no class on here not the Australian organisation

third point I agree with the first part but Australia are usually better than England at cricket and always have been

I think ive made my point once again so can we move on please gentlemen

its just a game stop takin out on me

England are still on for a draw

Was listening to Goughie the other night and they were discussing the whole focus on the world cup and lack of prep for test matches.

He wasn't buying it and when asked how much time would be needed to prepare from one day to test mode.

    His answer 2 days.

Have to say I have a load of time for Goughie. One of my favourite players.

I've personally only ever played one 4 day "test match" in my cricketing life and it wasn't a hard adjustment iirc. But I've played a few 50 overs games with a twenty twenty thrown in on an evening in the same week and it's not that difficult an adjustment at the level I played. Which obviously wasn't the pro game

What Goughie was saying struck true to me at at my level tbh. Basics like ok you may struggle in the first game or so but we are into test match 3 now so how long can you use that excuse?

For me England simply can't bat second. One day or test match they struggle to chase. That's a mindset rather than prep from one form to another

At the start of this thread you cried to me about it even existing on this board.

Then you went on to say you didn’t like the game, then you said you didn’t think National sporting events should exist.

Yet here you are professing to be an avid Aussie cricket fan, you daft, contrary ****.

    I don't.

They haven't played any long form cricket. It's all been about smash and bang one day stuff, it's clear why Root, Bairstow, Buttler and Roy just aren't at it in the test format. It's also completely ****ed Moeen up.

    Obvious.

Think it’s more the car we can’t bat. We also don’t have proper opening batsmen opening for us. We have gone from years of having great openers to having loads of half decent batsmen who all prefer playing down the order that are being put up the order.

I wont lie I think international sport is being ruined now with all the foreign players playing for random countries hence my statement but I still enjoy when my side wins.

I don't like this game hugely much like golf but enjoy the ryder cup and the ashes for some reason

    throw another insult please
