Can't really blame people for feeling otherwise after that cup exit. They have to earn our enthusiasm back.

How do you know? Have you seen the future?

I'm not saying we definitely will, but I didn't think we would at the start of the season either ... should I have not bothered with this season then? In fact, I would say we are closer to it now than I thought we were when we kicked off against WBA back in August.

Still being in the FA Cup wouldn't mean we were going to win that either ... but according to some on here we would still have "something left to play for".

Besides, what about the possibility of our highest ever finish in the PL? A chance to get one over Tottenham at WHL? To be the only team other than Chelsea to beat City at the Etihad? A final game against Man Utd, possible resulting in us finishing above them? A chance to see more of our famed youth in the first team?

We're playing Liverpool at home tomorrow everyone ...

It will be summer soon, no proper football for ages. I for one am loving this season and I am going to enjoy every minute of it to the very end.

Sorry, it appears that the Rant isn't over after all ...

No they don't, that's nonsense. They deserve our enthusiasm for every game after their efforts this season.

Not sure how that word is relevant in regard to paying to support a professional sporting team.

Ceebs, you're the first to moan if people don't support loud and long enough for your liking, or go on a wet weekend to Hull. Now you're just sounding exactly like a wet weekend in Hull......

Is it wrong that i hope we don't qualify for the europa league as playing most games on a sunday would ruin the "matchday expeience" for me.

Sorry, but if you put in effort for two thirds of the season and then stop (not that I'm saying they have, before you start), you don't deserve anything.

And it's not nonsense, I am feeling less enthusiastic than I was and I'm sure I'm not alone. If they start putting in good performances again, that will come back. It's not a choice, it's human nature.

No but if we thinking top 4 in future seasons then Sundays are going to be the norm.

    Completely agree.

We are still back in the premier league playing against the best teams with the best saints team I've seen in donkey's years.

Everyone chill out and enjoy the relaxing non-relegation threatened season :)

100% agree. I still feel flat because we had a bloody good shot at winning the cup and we blew it. If we beat Liverpool though, my enthusiasm will definitely come back.

It's your right to hold whatever opinion you want, but personally I could never feel flat about saints/football. Even when we were being relegated from the championship I still got excited on the way to the ground!

I usuay have a good idea when we're going to win or when we'll struggle but I honestly can't tell with this game. we go from the fantastic to the dire away from home from game to game so it depends which defence turns up (I'm looking at you Toure & Skrtel!!) Suarez is due a goal so I can't see us ending with 0. I reckon your lot might turn us over 2 or 3 - 1. Would love to win this game as it could further stabalize our fight for 4th but I can't see it. 4th is ours to lose and I can see it going to the wire regardless of our current position

You'll definitely get top 4, 5th-7th aren't that great (8th is though). You should be looking up rather than down and have a late title surge!
