Arsenal

Rachel: "In the Emirates as a home fan. Ashamed of Arsenal right now. All the warnings about turning away fans away and they've done nothing. No stewards to be seen. Feeling so intimidated."

Ade: "Currently inside the Emirates, thousands upon thousands of German fans everywhere around us. Horrible tense atmosphere. Tens of thousands of fans being made to feel very unsafe, including very young children.

"Not sure how this has happened. Has to be said if the roles were reversed and I was a British fan doing this in a German city, I'd be hanging my head in shame."

Foz: "Got to my usual seats in Club level with my 11-year-old son. Surrounded by Cologne fans. So unsafe we have been moved to the other side of the ground. Worst feeling at football in 40 years of watching home and away."

Chris: "Currently in the home end at Emirates - away section (corner) full and in full voice. Hundreds of people joining in the singing in the adjacent section behind the goal that should be for Arsenal supporters. Can only assume they are Cologne fans."

Steve: "Don't feel safe inside and won't feel safe outside. Should be called off and the Cologne fans sent packing. Arsenal fans who sold their tickets should be banned."

****ing bunch of fannies. It's about time we kicked Arsenal out of Britain.
We've been putting up with that against the big clubs for the last 10 years.

Aww poor old Arsenal

Last Season I went to Arsenal away

Bloody loads of Arsenal tourists in the away end . The full row behind me was arsenal plastics sat in new shirts and scarfs with stewards not doing anything

Blame Arsenal for never giving a **** who buys tickets in what section as long as they sell them

Shame more Germans didn't go to the game and sit / stand were they wanted

Look at the Arsenal fans . How pissed off? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Just came on to post the same quotes!

I loved the fact that Chris heard people singing in the Emirates and so naturally assumed they must be away fans!

Fighting not good at all, but the atmosphere looked brilliant

If Arsenal really wanted to avoid awayfans in the home ends they could sort it every week...but of course every week that would affect their tourist numbers too

Shame Arsenal won

Arsenal Club Statement

We worked in full consultation with police and UEFA officials on the night and in advance of the game and had taken extensive steps in advance to prevent tickets being sold to visiting supporters.

This included a number of measures including ensuring no tickets were sold via general sale and that no red memberships purchased after the draw were able to be used to get tickets in the home end for this match. We also worked with our colleagues at Cologne to stop supporters travelling without match tickets.

The 3,000 tickets issued to Cologne fans was in line with competition rules but it is clear many more visiting fans arrived, causing significant congestion and disturbance outside the stadium before kick-off. Many tickets were sold through touts and this is very disappointing.

We have launched a full review into the circumstances surrounding the game and will ensure any lessons that can be learned are used in the future.

I'm sure all the Arsenal tourists who couldn't get home because the match was delayed subsequently sold their tickets to marauding hordes
