Arsene Wenger has called for his experienced players to stand up and be counted for the match against Liverpool on Saturday.Breaking with all tradition he has already named his team: Bob Wilson Lee Dixon Tony Adams Martin Keown Nigel Winterburn Liam Brady George Graham Emanuelle Petit John Hollins Ian Wright Charlie George (Actually thats a pretty good line up!!)
Arsenal are 1-0 up. Sounds like they are good going forward and a bit iffy in defence. I feel we've got a chance at the weekend if we can keep Arsenal's forward line quiet. If we can do that, I feel we could nick the game 1-0. It's going to be a difficult game though.
its always a difficult game whenever we play them but we must be positive.Watching tonight they do look dodgy in defence and I feel this is one where Carroll must bully their 2 central defenders who are not very big.
Isn't Wilshire injured as well? Looks like Gibbs & Djourou are also injured. Both done their hamstring in tonights game. We certainly need to take advantage of all the problems Arsenal have at the moment,
Got a feeling that Andy Carroll is going to get a couple of goals against them. Especially if Adam starts delivering the kind of free kicks and corners that he did last year. Apart from Varmaelen none of their players can head the ball.
Is it just me or did Arsenal look incredibly fragile throughout most of the game - totally lacking balls and ready to leak goals if they come up against anyone with a bit of pace and a physical presence. Think I might stick some money on our boys before the weekend... GKRK.
no you are right and with players dropping like flies then we will never ever have a better chance but football is a funny old game so who knows.
This current Arsenal team is the poorest I have ever seen. Liverpool have a good chance of getting something at the weekend.
Our squad is by far the weakest we have ever had in the Wenger era. KPR is right, there is no better opportunity to beat us. You will have to go for it this time though.
I don't know if it is mindgames- being polite, or trying to make the team "non-complacent" but Dalglish is certainly talking as if he expects Arsenal's team-issues to be non game-changing... he still expects a challenge: http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport...-hit-arsenal-ahead-of-liverpool-fc-visit.html
