Will arsenal be able to field a team against us at the weekend - they seem to be losing players on a daily basis
It will definetely be a close game but you have to look at the loss of Clichy, Fabregas, soon to be Nasri, on top of not having Gervinho whose pace would have caused us massive problems, and song in the middle is out. Our players should be seeing all of this and should be chomping at the bit to get there and get the win and a massive 3 points due to the psychological advantage it could have.
Still a tough game away from home for us but given the missing players and Kenny probably unimpressed by our 2nd half performance on saturday.Expect an explosive game for both sides. Good luck to arsenal in the CL qualifiers
One thing's for certain- couldn't be playing them at a better time since they're in disarray. That doesn't mean we'll get 3 points- but we stand a decent chance. If we can't beat an Arsenal who are under flux- we probably won't get in the top 4 ahead of them. Of course, dropping points won't mean we're out of any running this early on... but we really need to get a result- I think failing to get 3 points after slipping a little against Sunderland in the 2nd half could have a damaging affect on morale. No disrespect to Arsenal- but with all this upheaval it will take them a while to get back to the level we know they're capable of- we need to take advantage of their misfortune.
Absolute must win game this early considering their players who are injured/sold/banned. Good morale booster early on wont do us any harm. Who will Kenny play is more the point. Will be interesting to see. Thank god the premiership is back - what a boring summer that was!!!!!!
Completely agree with Bluff. Would like to see Aqua get a spot on the field too- although I'm not sure who he would replace. Think anyone would notice if we played with 12 men?
I reckon rest suarez and bring him on second half for an impact sub if required. Start with Aquilani instead and try the wing play to caroll with three cm's and two wide wingers. Mr wenger is probably scouting the u13's to see who his next money maker will be lol
If we can't do Arsenal when they are such a mess, we will never be able to. Now is the perfect opportunity to play them. However the philosophy must be ''show no mercy''. They wouldn't think twice about doing it to us if the shoe was on the other foot. They wouldn't be expected to either. As far as I'm concerned it must be open season on Arsenal.
I really wish Aqua would be in the squad but if he did not dress for the last game then it does not look like he will be staying around, unless KK is playing a little game with him and his agent, something along the lines of your either here or you f***ing off, stop muckin about.
Unless KK knows more and a deal is being done? Not much sell on value if he gets crocked although i still want him to play for us but in KK we trust!
Hi there, new lad chipping in my 2 pence. I reckon this Opta Joe stat should give any doubters some comfort: Arsenal’s league win % last season: 64% with Fabregas in starting XI. 31% without him. Add in Song and Gervinho's suspensions, no Nasri and no Clichy and I reckon if Liverpool play like they did in the first half v Sunderland Arsene Wenger's going to find himself out of a job pretty soon. Sagna Vermaelen Djourou Gibbs --------Diaby Wilshere ------------Ramsey Arshavin Van Persie Walcott It still looks like a decent XI but Walcott and Arshavin go missing when the game's not going their way and there's nothing decent left on the bench.
Have any of you heard the £10 million and Poulsen for Shawcross rumour? £20 million is a bit much, but thats more realistic.
Good shout i agree if it goes well for us we could give them a very good game, with the squad the way it is they are looking very light, not much to bring on to change the game or cope with another couple of injuries. welcome to the board
I heard £18m asking price was rejected so attention has shifted to Alex from Chelsea. Possible Meireles swap?
