FFP! can someone explain to me what is fair about it? Has far as i can see this Vardy episode has to be a statement of contempt by the club, if they can fight of Arsenal and keep JV at the KP It will prove to other players here, and ones that might be interested in coming here, that we will not be bullied by the so called elite! and that we are not going to be a one season wonder! and going to be challenging the so called big clubs again next season.

With winning the league, champions league football, the new tv deal and better and new sponsorship as a consequence of our success aswell as the owners backing

I dont think FFP will be an issue unless we start spending close to £100M in the transfer window which i cant see

Think I remember reading that wage bill cannot be increased by more than 10% per annum under FFP (with the exception of promoted teams). There again, it may have been Rachel Riley firing those numbers at me in a dream. If that is a fact (not the dream), then it is certainly not FAIR in our circumstances, where we would be unable to match wage offers from other wealthy clubs - regardless of sponsorship from KP.

... which is why the Birch has been on £200 million a year for the past couple of years .... just gives us that flexibility ... he's really not worth it <laugh> ...

I don't know the full FFP piece I'll readily admit ... but limiting wages on a club that can demonostrate that they can easily afford them would contravene so many EU laws plus represent 'constraint of trade' in global terms that the potential litigation should work in our favour . I'm sure the legal team is already working on this <laugh>

You have to remember our wage budget is massively up on last season with Konchesky, Kramaric, Schwarzer and Wasiewski off the books. Nathan Dyer has gone back to Swansea and we have over £5M in the bank from selling Andrej Kramaric

Vastly superior proposition to Leicester though. Stadium, finances, squad, consistency, location, fan base etc...

I can see why some fans would expect him to make a decision before going to the euros but at the same time those messages are all over the top in language and delivery!

Stadium yours is bigger. Granted but lacks the history unlike ours

Finances nope. We have a billionaire owner and we have just won the league and were in the Champs League aswell so you can bully us with money. We have actually offered Vardy better terms then you

Squad- Everyone in our squad has a Premier League winners medal. What about you?

Consistency- you finished 2nd mate. We finished 1st

Location- Not everyone in the world wants to live in London so thats all person choice and not a fact

Fanbase- keep your internet fan base. We dont want them!

Maybe Arsenal shouldn't be so arrogant and disrespectful to approach him a couple of days before his first major international tournament, get him to leave his family before potentially not seeing them for a few weeks to dash around and go through the transfer process then have a bitch fit when he doesn't decide in 24 hours. Extremely short sighted even by Arsenal standards

Good point well made! Give me Forest or Derby any day, Arsenal are vile! They probably don't even want our players, they are bitter we finished ahead and its spite. If Vardy turns them down as we can see they will take it very personally and I bet they come after Mahrez and/or Kante to try and get back at us . So petty

Our stadium and training facilities are state of the art and one of the best stadiums in the country with vastly more seating capacity.

Finances we have two billionaires, one of the biggest revenues in world sport, large cash reserves and therefor the ability for a high wage structure and future investment in the club.

As a unit Leicester played well with mainly the same team playing every game, Arsenal have a deeper squad with the proposition of playing with players like Ozil and Sanchez. if Leicester lose Mahrez, Vardy and Kante will they have that same ability?

19 years consecutively in the champions league is more consistency than one year almost relegated, the following year winning the league. Over the course of a contract a player is more likely to be playing at the top level consistently at Arsenal than at Leicester.

Location - London vs Leicester really isn't a competition, access to schools, restaurants, nightlife, travel, theatres etc... While it is a personal choice where someone wants to live London is the bigger draw for most.

Arsenal have one of the largest fan bases in the world, obviously this is superior to Leicester.

In basically every way other than who has won the league more recently Arsenal are the better proposition for players. Though if your whole team stay put I can see why Vardy might stay. Can't see a couple of guys not leaving though.

Think we are just trying to get business done early before the euros get in the way to be as ready as possible for the new season, I highly doubt any disrespect is meant or that Vardy feels disrespected..

Understandable but makes it pathetic that many Arsenal fans are in meltdown that he hasn't answered. He's entitled to be concentrating on the Euros even though Winger thought he could derail him. It stems from the fact Arsenal fans think there is no need to even think about the decision when clearly there is. It's arrogant to think otherwise

Man is 29 - is being offered stupid money at the twilight of his career.

If he leaves - good luck to the lad, I thank him for taking us to where I never thought we would ever be.
