How do you reach that conclusion? We play Man U on Wednesday, a game that we will probably lose and we will have played the same number of games, there will be a 7 point cushion in your favour. Having said that I found your line up puzzling. Why play three strikers when a point would have been a good result ? There were 8 changes from the Sheffield game - does Bruce have any idea of what would represent a settled line up? A confused manager means confused players and it showed last night - there appeared to be no game plan, get a creative mid-field player who can control a game and you will be ok. why not try an audacious call to Spuds and try to get dele alli on loan for the rest of the season?
Because we're currently the worst side in the league in every area of the sport and still require 21 points...
As I've said so many times even I'm bored, 5-3-2 game in, game out. The only changes are personnel through injury or fatigue. We could have played Hayden, Lascelles and Clark as 3 CB's, Manq or Murphy right, Lewis left, Shelvey, Longstaff and Almiron central with Carroll/Wilson up top and all players would be in position and know their role.
I personally think he's got the tools but needs a good coach
Agreed was purely pissed off after about 5 mins last night and spoke in anger, posted on another thread today it would be interesting to see him under a good coach who "does tactics" but currently he's not experienced enough for Bruceball and the tactic of roll your sleeves up. We need leaders in all 11 positions on the pitch because they are not getting instructions from anywhere else and Lewis is to young and inexperienced at present. Same with the Longstaffs and I'd even suggest Joelinton has come in and been coached by Bruce since day dot so while he has been shocking I'd love to know what is being relayed to him and how so because like all of our players it looks like they are just thrown out there in a formation and told to get on with it.
Where is this Joelinton? Came from a comparable league but I can't remember seeing him in the six yard box for us.
