Interestingly, I'm actually interested in seeing what happens. Maybe a morbid fascination, but I'll tune in anyway!

You can just see us getting a ****ing result like can't you.....just to paper over the cracks a bit. In much the same way as the writing was on the wall for the Sheff Utd game last week it would be just like us.

I hope we get hammered by a ****ty mis-firing arsenal side being completely honest, just to put another nail in Mrs Doubtfire's coffin.

Think we have to approach it win-win. There's fun in defeat, fun in victory.

I mean, I'll laugh my ass off if we get hammered and look utterly clueless/shapeless. It'll be honest to god hilarious. However, if we somehow scrape to a stupid undeserved win, given Windy's comments, then it's a step closer to salvation. We have to be in the PL, somehow, and I'd rather not be 18th with SB in charge, because we know the fat tosspot won't do anything in time.

Trying to second guess SB is impossible, but "gloves off" is going to be one of two things.

    1) He retreats back to his 'happy place' of the early 90's and goes straight-laced 4-4-2, therefore lining up as: Darlow; Krafth, Fede, Lascelles, Lewis; Hendrick, Shelvey, Hayden, Ritchie; Wilson, Carroll.
    2) Something really weird and hand grenade-y.

Well i've just whacked a few daft bets on us to win (1-0, 2-0 and 2-1)....me placing a bet on the Toon to win is a sure fire way of ensuring that we ****ing lose so it's a win-win for me! If we lose it's another nail in brucey's coffin which i'll gladly contribute a few quid towards.....if we win I get a bit of extra wedge back and I can go again for our next fixture!

Just on your #2 above....has he got any hand grenades left?

Yeah, he could put Ritchie at LWB again. Or put Schar in a CB pair. Or pick Jeff Hendrick.

I am very intrigued to see what his changes will be. I am thinking Joelinton moved left to right, Hendricks, Longstaff, Almiron, Murphy all to be false No. 10's ( whatever that is ). Formation = 8-1-1. Man is a joke.

I'd bet that Sky will put up the formation as they see it - which won't make much sense anyway - then when we start the game it'll somehow look even more confused, and the commentators have to guess.

    • Steve Bruce is winless in his 17 away matches as a manager against Arsenal in all competitions (D4, L13).
    A bit of hope so!

4-4-2 or or 4-3-3, can't quite work out which yet ! Probably both at some point until we're getting hammered then he'll bring Murphy and Yedlin on and swap Miggy for ****ing Matt Ritchie.

At least we won't have to put up with Ritchie's woeful ****ing corners.....if we get any that is !

90s 442, as I said, but with Almiron and Joelinton out of position which means zero crosses for Carroll and no support in the middle.

    Well, that’s Bruce ****ed.
