Villa battered 4-1, hopefully they'll be very nervous next week & we can get the 3 points if we go out & attack them.
"Next week is a cup final" - Paul Lambert. I'm still to get over a New Years Day 5-0 humping in 1988 at Villa Park and demand a win. Make it so Brucie, you useless fat ****.
Yes I remember that, listened to it on Humberside, that same season Alex Dyer had scored that stunner in a 2-1 win at BP, I was quite optimistic that day too.
I 'borrowed' the £6 cost for the Simon Gray coach from my Mam's purse and left an IOU - was in so much **** when I came home. Scarred.
Who is everyone's bottom three after todays results? I think tomorrow will have a big say, hopefully Cardiff and Sunderland draw.
I think as it is, unless Fulham sneak out & Norwich go down, I think it'll be like our first PL season & the last day will be up & down for those down there.
If Sunderland win tomorrow, I think they'll stay up. If Cardiff win, I'll say it's between them and Fulham to join Sunderland and Norwich. If it's a draw, I'd back one of Fulham or Sunderland to stay up. In other words, Norwich are screwed.
I'm not writing off Fulham, I think they're better than Norwich, tomorrow's results will be massive for those at the bottom.
12 Swansea 36 -1 39 13 Hull 35 -9 37 14 West Ham 36 -11 37 15 West Brom 35 -12 36 16 Aston Villa 35 -17 35 17 Norwich 36 -32 32 18 Fulham 36 -42 31 19 Cardiff 35 -34 30 20 Sunderland 34 -24 29 The table as it stands today. A Sunderland win or a draw tomorrow would see us needing one more point to guarantee safety, unless there's a 25 goal swing of course.
I think it is safe to say 'WE ARE SAFE' Well done City.....Great achievement...I am buzzing tonight..
