Are we moving forward?

Many people say we have moved forward from the LJ/MA era, but have we really?
People point to lack of funds for Nigel (We’re only raising funds for Nigel - could be a song in there somewhere) but that puts us on a par with all others sides in this league apart from the parachute sides.
We also managed a comfortable top half finish under the previous regime using many of the current squad and yet LJ was fired for ‘failing’.
It’s an old football saying ‘you only buy in if what you buy is better than you currently have’
I’m not calling for Nigel to be sacked - of course not - and for the record I do NOT want LJ back and a return to the ‘streaks’ we had before, but imho NP is no better than LJ. was. If anyone disagrees then that’s fine - please explain (but talking ‘no spin’ is irrelevant!!)

In answer to your question, have we moved forward since Johnson was sacked ? The answer from me is no. But are the supporters generally happier and more together and behind the team than they were under Johnson and then Holden ? I would say the answer is a definite yes.

Everyone knew that this would be no ordinary season and for me Nige still has the benefit of the doubt, providing we can avoid being in the bottom 3. If we are still in this position in 12 months time then it might be a different matter. The uncomfortable truth is that we're miles behind the likes of Bournemouth and co.

there is more than 1 reason unlinked in the above and it is conjecture trying to guess what might have been ...
Covid had that not come along who knows what would follow LJ still in charge with finishes in top 8 ...????
or replaced by DH??? STILL under threats of covid and injuries, but not having the team sold out from under him ... and currently in top 8 teams on 24pts?????
or all that happened and NP seen as the messiah and will have his supporters through thick and thin because their dislike/hate of LJ/DH is more para mount in their thinking of we could have done better ... posted elsewhere we all have our trains of thought...its how humans progress. Should have something good it allows for something better and something worse. DEPENDS ON WHERE YOUR GOOD STARTING POINT IS! you could say Alan Dicks! or any highlight since .....

To be honest have never looked into his past, today I did, I expected to see won this won that promoted here there and everywhere but really nothing stands out ....... !

Other managers we've had, have had people wanting them out for a lot less, and a lot quicker. I don't want NP gone, the instability of constantly changing managers is no good to anyone. The only way he should be sacked is if we are in real danger of relegation. He does have to sort out the performance, tactics and formation of the side quickly. As I have said before, in the 6 games I've seen this season we lack any identity and are bullied by every other team we have played. Our possession is poor, as is our pressing ability.

I’m afraid that goes with the job. As soon as you accept the position you take on the understanding that when things aren’t going well there will be people calling for your head.
I’m not calling for him to go yet - but he needs to shape up or we could end up with a serious risk of the drop.

very true, however, put into perspective he is in a much better place than his forbears, COVID was rife for both the previous managers who had NO FANS and a massive injury problem. I am not calling for his head, dont think I have ever been on that train for any manager, but maybe been on the platform but in the background.
previous post said SURPRISED at lack of glowing aura! He needs, IMO to settle down stick to his principles and keep on taking the tablets! Good enough you play ..[ maybe not just for 1 game or part thereof, pressure on "you have your chance take it or else not good ]

DONT make empty statements .. have a good well balanced keen squad to work wit... then dither around it when it doesnt come together. NP is supposed to work with what he believes [ has stated ] is the correct material and get results ...

WHICH GAME WAS THIS ...WON 3-1 against a team very near the top!!! there is currently 7 [ 8 inc Semenyo injured ] of these who had minutes available now!!!! Moore is at Hearts ..doing well,....
A superior manager? should be able to conjure up better results than so far this season ... or has all the other teams improved so so much better than BCFC!!! come on NP get your act together ... 4-3-1-2 or 3 -4-1 -2 [ -1-2 is a given ]
