Only problem with Mane is he lets it go to his head. If he misses 2 or 3 chances he will get in a strop with himself. He will then let it effect his game. On his day he is a brilliant player though. You will just have to treat him carefully.

Hi! First time poster long time lurker, are we getting ripped off if this Mane transfer is true?

I was not a fan of the lad until last season, he seemed to have no brain and was such a poor player, £40M is crazy and I'd rather us look elsewhere, I imagine you would feel the same way.

So putting aside the ifs and buts and rights and wrongs, if we get him what are we getting?

First time poster ? Not what you info says .

He can be excellent but he can have poor runs as well and has been a bit streaky for us. Didn't score at all between October/November and March last season and then got 8 in 10 or something.

Why do quite a few of us have to respond in a bitter manner? The bloke just asked a fair question. Give him a fair answer rather than wind him up

Show me one post that's responded in a bitter manner. I politely said he could have put it in the transfer thread.

If someone wants to be bitter then I'd back that too. In case you hadn't noticed he supports a team who keep taking our players. I'm getting bitter and pissed off about that!

He is very good LG. To be fair I don't think you were done on any of our other players really.

I'd rather keep him for the season, and sell him for £25m next season. Liverpool could benefit from rebuilding at a steady pace too imo, instead of the usual top team approach of chucking too much money, buying too many players, and ****ing the project up. I fear he'll go, though. Saints and Liverpool bound to meet in the middle at £35m. That will be a huge skill gap for us to make up, and reckon he'd tear it up in Europe.

I suppose I could have done that but I don't tend to think very much at all and my question may have got swallowed up in a transfer thread.

Interesting opinions it looks like he's quite highly regarded, If we get him it'll make Lallanas inclusion into the team interesting as if he's on the bench he may want a move. The fee is high but if we can get a good fee for Benteke then I suppose it's worth it.

Keep an eye on Nathan Redmond. You'll be buying him in a couple of seasons.

I agree, he'd get goals for you but can't hit a barn door now so it's all huff and puff but no end product. When I watch him it's like he's trying too hard I don't think he's handling the expectaion very well.

Lallana didn't get that many goals for us in the Prem for his position but it was the rest he gave that made up for it. He had 2 top DMs behind him not Henderson and Joe Allen so he could do what he wanted and drift across the field finding space in behind the striker(s).

Liverpool have never played him properly, probably because Coutinho plays in that position.

£40m for Mane for a club not in Europe is a steal. He will be as good for you as he is for us which is virtually unplayable on his day. Like a raw version of Alexi Sanchez. Will be a world star in the future if a middling club in the Prem with their glory days behind them can keep hold of him.
