Good thread <cheers>

It's easy to risk sounding like your parents but i definitely had more freedom when I was younger. When I was 14 I went to Margate with four mates. There's no way my 15 year old niece would be allowed to do that now. The worrying thing is that in three years kids like her will be 18 and be able to do anything they like but won't have a lot of street sense.

Do you think a lot off youngsters are actually encouraged not to go out, and stay safe indoors, as everyone outside is either a Peado, rapist or murderer (as the media would have us believe).

For the younger generation being such ****y *****s?

Scenario.
As I was getting my hair cut, I couldn't help over hearing the bloke in the seat waffling about simple things like.

Take the bus home don't walk (all off a mile)

Wear a long sleeve shift.

Don't forget to take a coat.

Don't forget your phone in case you need anything.

Your gran will meet you at the bus stop.

Etc, etc,etc.

Anyhow, as I was sat looking at Asian slut's, I thought oh he must be on about his daughter, protective father and all that.

But as it happens, he was talking about his 13 year old son. Ffs

What a ****ing fanny.

So are parents way way too over protective these days.

Are the kids soft as ****, partly due to the parents being massive fannies?

Different from my days, it was any problem son shoot em in the bolloxs.

Good point Comm. There were just as many *****philes about when we were kids. It's in the news a lot more these days and parents think there's one lurking on every street corner.

They should just call the News, bad news. There's never anything cheery happens.

This made me laugh...when i was 15 id left school and got a job <laugh>

Albeit i never realised i couldn't work full-time until my 16th birthday.

I was getting served in pubs at 15 and got to know the landlords in case the old bill turned up. Got raided a few times but you learnt how to disappear quickly.

Cigs were easy, had vending machines in them days.

And here i am today surrounded by health freaks that legally have a big mac for breakfast.
