If you're from within the borders of Leeds, I think we can make an exception to whether it's your local team.
See my latest edit. It checks out, distance wise. I just had to check, since I know my house is closer to Bradford city centre than Leeds city centre.
I'm almost equidistant too, but obviously no-one within Leeds' boundaries is going to choose to support that shower of ****.
I heard a statistic somewhere that 20% of Leeds season ticket holders are registered to BD postcodes. I cracked up when I heard it.
Then again it makes sense - the people of bradford probably figured they should support the team whose kit matches their skin colour.
I was at Bradford town hall for a do a couple of years ago and the security guards were all sat in their booth watching Leeds vs Kettering. Went into the main events room and about five conversations going on were all about how United were doing that season. Every time I go to the place it's full of Leeds shirts. Bradfordians love Leeds.
By the way, since you mention skin colour... did you notice all of Leeds' players were Caucasian tonight? Whites out!
This confirms what I always suspected - Nora is the only proper Leeds fan on here - the rest of you are glory seeking barstewards - but I think you chose the wrong option as not much glory to be had
As Billy Bremner (born and bred in the same city (town as it was then) as me) said;

My local team is Stirling Albion and I watch them on a frequent basis, their owned by the supporters and anyone with a trust share in the club can carry out certain aspects of work for the club, to try and help it become successful. The philosophy now for the club is youth development and it's looking promising for the long term future of the club. As many of you will know, Bremner was a Stirling Albion supporter (not Celtic as some have tried to suggest), he was also the Stirling Albion ball boy for many years at their old ground Annfield. Bremner's testimonial game was Leeds v Stirling Albion and I would love to have been at that game, simply to watch my two favourite teams. I'm a Leeds supporter, always have been and always will be, I visit the city on many occasions and have enjoyed watching the city develop and prosper. My visits to ER are getting less and less as I get older and although I would go to every home game (if I lived closer) I'm not sure I would always enjoy what's on offer, it seems to me you pay a hell of a lot of cash and get very little in return. My children are all Leeds fans and used to get all the merchandise from Leeds United online shop & during visits to the city, the old shop in the city near the coffee shop, I've stopped that now as a protest against Bates. I've often said that my visits to Leeds and going around the pubs before a game, is the highlight of the weekend, most Leeds fans I meet are sociable, good humoured and proud of their city and the club, so you can't really beat having a few beers and chatting with fellow Leeds fans, then watching your team beat the opposition, whilst you sing your heart out, followed by a few beers and meal in the city. Traveling on the bus to and from the game can also be very entertaining, especially when the bus is full to the brim and someone lets one out!
So, I'm not local but I am 100% Leeds United.

How'd you work that out? I was born in LGI, I've lived in Farsley my entire life and my house is closer to Elland Road than any other league clubs ground.
Born in St James and supported Leeds as a young lad during the Major Frank Buckley, then John Charles and Raich Carter era. Devasted when my father got a job some 80 - 90 miles away in County Durham. Not my local team any more but my FIRST and ONLY team to follow for the rest of my life.

I've lived in Milton Keynes most of my life and I became hooked on LUFC thanks to my dad who was a glory supporter in his youth, but the 1st time he took me to Elland Road that was it.... 15 years later and I curse his name!
No matter how bad it gets I couldn't go without my fix of Leeds United!
Funny observation of MK as I've been here since the Dons moved into town. MK had a massive set of glory supporting plastics who claimed to love the scum (some of whom are actually pals of mine), but as soon as the Dons moved in, they ditched all that and claim they are "MK through and through". They still dont get it when I laugh so hard I piss myself because they dont get that you cant just change the team you support at a whim!

I live in Carrickfergus, County Antrim. It IS on the east coast.

About 90% of the scum fanbase claims they support their local team and scum is there "second team". It's pathetic.
Must admit I raised a smile last Tuesday when stood in the Kop next to both my sons who were belting out we support our local team with gusto as they were both born and raised in Leicester.
All the people I were with were Leeds born and raised, but I still let out a little chuckle knowing a decent portion of our fans were not from Leeds. We met some lads from Southend outside the chippy before the match
After 40 years of supporting the Whites, I couldn't give a ****e what people think of me doing so. Weather it be an opposition fan, a born and bred local or anyone else for that matter.
