Will Newcastle benefit from the APT case

There's also this narrative Newcastle aren't doing anything? They will be at the very least building cases, and getting a plan in place.

I mean, do people really think they're so stupid that they'll tell everyone the plan like some idiot Bond villain.

Ask yourself why Newcastle haven't got sponsorship on the stadium, training ground and training kit? For 3 years?
Well I am. I don’t understand why the deals are not already in place and I don’t think the PL have blocked them. I just don’t think the deals are there but I could obviously be completely wrong.

I would be very surprised if much bigger deals with the likes of Saudia haven't already been attempted. Or have at least been sitting in waiting for the outcome of City's case.
If such deals haven't been negotiated already, then the commercial team at the club haven't been doing their jobs very well.
Adidas is is all well and good, but alone it won't change things enough.
That’s possible I guess. I am sceptical as to why the deals are not all in place.

And it is possible that they are now going to be put in place.

Man City knew they had won when they announced the Haaland new contract which was 115 months long. They where basically sticking their fingers up at the PL.

I think it's more than possible, and if not what the hell else could it be?

Nope. I’m just not getting carried away with the news yet as I feel like there is always a twist. Always something else to block things.

The PL are indeed on the ropes mind and it does feel like we could be about to enable beats mode in the commercial world.

Let’s see.

Just that PIF are a commercial powerhouse with a proper structure. And as such they may want more guarantees that they won’t be stung.

They could indeed go and setup 200m of commercial deals but what’s in it for them?

Why has there been no sponsorship at all for 3 years on areas that are commonly sponsored by clubs?

If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up, but I've been saying this is why long before Yesterday and it's because they were sent and rejected.

Maybe. If so we could be in for a commercial windfall. And we will likely sue the PL.

Masters is basically saying that despite the ruling the rules in place are still valid.

It would be interesting to see if we do indeed come out with some big BIG deals.

Let's rewind mate.

The claim from City was total victory and that the rules were invalid, then Masters came scurrying out his webb claiming that it was only small elements.

What happened? City were right the rules were completely invalid. The PL has been caught lieing.

Now? City claim complete annihilation and masters has come scurrying out his Webb playing it down again.

I know who I believe.

It's definitely going to make our situation easier, but they won't be able to sponsor a corner flag for 100million.

They will just introduce something else mate.

They were talking on talksport the other day about the PL requesting access to mobile phones and laptops of clubs at will and whenever they want.

Maybe I’m being sceptical here. You’re probably right it can only be a good thing. But the top six will somehow get around it.

OK, how about for £99.5m?

That's exactly what they did when they hurried through new rules, but if they get ruled unlawful that's checkmate at least for a period of time.... The net is closing in.

That case on APT2 started in January and is the same panel.

Either way Newcastle and other clubs will more than likely have had sponsorships rejected for the last 3 years.

The Premier league is currently being defeated and that's why they failed to get a vote through on SCR.

I also wonder if had the rules not been in place would Staveley still be with us.

She left because of the PSR fiasco selling Minteh and Anderson. Chances are we wouldn’t have had to sell them if the rules where not there and we had more commercial income.

you need to understand Saudi’s mate. I do as I deal with them.

as Yasser himself said… his goal is to be number 1. Money isn’t important. Status is.

Not sure on Staveley

I was going to mention this actually on minteh and Anderson when asking the question on sponsorship missing from the ground and training ground.

If the club knew about the PSR issue then why not sponsor the ground etc? The reason was a bigger long term gain more than likely.

I can't make this any more clear, but essentially the club could either have accepted feeble sponsorships the PL would allow or wait for backdated inflated ones the PL rejected. I could be wrong, but that's what I think has gone on.
