In awe of Sabastian Sawe running the London Marathon in 1:59:30! And two people have done sub two hours in the same marathon today.

I’m not a runner. Walking is difficult enough at present while I wait for double knee replacements, but that is an epic time !
I ran in a club, but not for the club as part of a team. I could not even run close to one mile the pace this man, and men achieved.

Effectively they have ran what for most people is close to a sprinting speed of seventeen seconds for 100 metres, and then carried on at the same speed for another twenty six miles.

know of 2 people had double knee trans plants!!!!! neither get on well wih wearing tight!!!!!!!!!!!
on a serious note though........ both regret having both at same time.

problems with one knee as much pain healing prolonged healing [ stated as likely to be 3 month's] of the better knee over a year to be fine [ 90% ]

one other friend had both done first took 3 month's to get right /normal 7 months after first, second was done... took about 3/4 month's to be normal

Well this afternoon I got a call from Southmead and I now have a June date for the surgery to take place

did you get a choice of places? Emmerson green seems to be the best it is compact and designed for replacements ... doing one or 2

I did originally and I chose the Chesterfield in Clifton and was seen last July

The list of possible locations I was given was about 12 different places as far apart as Shepton Mallet and W-S-M but the Chesterfield was the quickest to be seen.

When I saw him in July the surgeon said he could do my right knee in early October
I asked about both being done at the same time and he said that would have to be at Southmead with him still doing the work, as the NHS won’t fund double knee replacements at non NHS hospitals which is crazy and the wait would be 7-8 months
