Swords, howerya?
What about ye Gandy. Any chance of you lads doing us a favour against Villa?

This is completely right Telford, but even if AF had made the complaint, and had pushed for it to go to court, he would STILL be well within his rights, and I for one would support him.
I'm just so glad that we are getting to a stage in football now where players feel they can stand up to people like Terry. You hear stories of players in the past who have just let it go, who now feel guilty for not standing up to it.
Though with some players and fans, I feel there is still some way to go.

Absolutely. I was just trying to illustrate just how much a "victim of circumstances" AF really is.
You ok Telford? Couldn't believe what I was seeing from him, didn't expect that at all.
Oh have a day off would ye! If I were gettin' paid 30-odd grand a week you could call me all the names under the son.
You really think this muppet is a victim? C'mon Tel, you usually have more sense than that.
Hi mate. Cheers again for that stuff on the Utd. board the other week. Gave me a smile on a crappy day anyway.

No problem, what idiots they were? Us little clubs are not worthy huh?
Quite right too. We've got to learn our place. What's next for you guys anyway? What you hoping for next season?Oh have a day off would ye! If I were gettin' paid 30-odd grand a week you could call me all the names under the son.

Sense and sensibility I'd like to think. What has he done wrong Swords?
One more time, this is what should have happened. I said it at the time and I thoroughly believe it to this day:
Two pro footballers (with dream jobs and insane wealth) get into a scuffle in a highly charged game in a highly charged atmosphere with a lot of testosterone flying about. Some words are exchanged. Any of us that have played sport or gotten into an argument know that in the heat of the moment, things can be said that otherwise wouldn't have been.
After the game Terry knocks on the dressing room, seeks out Ferdinand, apologizes and offers his hand. At this point, if there was any shred of character in the man, Ferdinand would have accepted his apology and shook his hand.
The very next day he should have told reporters that the matter was dealt with and the situation was now resolved.
Instead he did the opposite, played the victim card and sought sympathy and with that brought the entire focus of at least a months worth of the season but all along really, on top of himself and not the Club. The Club, whom should have been the sole focus of his attention in its fight for Premiership survival.
During this entire saga this vainglorious, egotistical, self-centred, lazy, millionaire put in some of the worst performances I've seen from a Premiership defender. In doing so he contributed to the teams demise and with it the hopes and aspirations of tens of thousands of loyal fans who work their fingers to the bone to go and watch the likes of this prima donna saunter around the pitch like hes some sort of victim of life.
The whole thing is rotten to the core and I hope with all my might that John Terry (cu*t though he is) is acquitted and this waste of space is turfed out of our Club.
Swords let me give you a "what if" scenario. What if it were an English player taunting an Irish player about the Famine say? Would this be okay however much that Irish player earned?
The sheer morality of colour prejudice is one thing to consider. Beyond this - and there shouldn't be a "beyond this" - there's a whole lot of history attached to judging people on skin colour, and if Terry has, in the heat of a game, resorted to what he's alleged to have said, then he has to answer for it. If that's his "go-to, knee-jerk" reaction under pressure, then let's see him in court and see what happens. AF has done nothing wrong and certainly hasn't derailed our season.
The very next day he should have told reporters that the matter was dealt with and the situation was now resolved.
What a load of over-sensitive bull-sh*t. Just to be clear, Terry was taunting no-one. It was a once-off remark. See, you're changing the scenario there Tel!
And with regards your opening gambit, I would happily be taunted morning noon and night for a fraction of what these guys earn but that's besides the point because as we know, there was no taunting involved.
There are REAL victims out there in the REAL world. This clown should button his lip.

My original post and the point therein stands.
Swords, your comments on this thread are nothing short of a disgrace. If nobody else will tell you straight up, I will.
The only person dragging the name of QPR FC through the mud is good yourself being an apologist for John Terry.
You should be ashamed.
