You'll have to direct that question to NP, though as several of you have suggested that NP picks the targets and others are responsible for sorting the deals, then maybe the ****e bid is nothing to do with him.

To be fair, Cardiff obviously don't want him and he's in his final year, so a ****ty tester bid is not completely ridiculous, but as you're not the only club in for him and he's a decent player, you'll have to bid at a half decent level.

If you get him for £6-700k, then you've got a bargain, he's definately better than SSL.

Sean St Ledger is miles better than Gerrard.

Gerrard had a good season for Hull when we loaned him there. But Hull didnt challenge. Leicester with the money they have been spending are one of the favourites and they should be targeting better players than Gerrard.

Are Hull skint or something.? If hes that highly thought of why dont they come in. £250k and we should bite your hands off.

I still cant believe we are turning down bids. Hes not good enough for us and I thought he may have been released on a free.

If we needed him then he would be here by now but we already have 4 CB so we dont need him and I have no idea why you think he is crap because he isnt, he is just what any club would want as a defender. Just because it didnt work out for him at cardiff doesnt mean it wont work out at another club - that showed when he was with us

Hes not what you want as a starter if PL football is the aim.

Consolidating in mid table or bottom half as a starter hes good enough.

I wouldnt have him as cover as he then seems to fall out with managers.

He didn't fall out with Nigel though did he, so what's stopping him coming to Leicester and doing well. Also, he is good enough for a Premier League fighting side because we were fighting for promotion and it worked out with us.
 
He was a regular for you though and I dont think Leicesters aim is a play off miss. He gets axed and he doesnt seem to like it.

There was a reason he was loaned to you by Jones and now surplus under Malky. They like most of our fans dont think hes good enough.

If he got on with it , id have no problem with him as cover for our main centre backs. (though ideally we need to sign another first choice)

He obviously had a good season for you though I though he was poor against us at our place.

Because we've got seven centre backs on the books already, we're looking to flog one and loan two out, we definitely won't be bidding for any more.

He's definitely no Premier League player, but he's a good Championship player.
 
Decent bit of business in my opinion, more than decent championship defender, good addition to the squad which is taking shape nicely now.
 
Very good, no nonsense defender who will score a few goals too.

He will definitely improve your promotion prospects, gets on well with NP and inspire those around him.

Good value too, even if he might struggle in the PL (but you never know, he might be ok).

If NP plays one of your more "silky" CBs alongside AG then you will be very miserly in defence.

We dont have any "silky" defenders. Nigel sold them
