Marseille prosecutor says co-pilot put plane into a dive
The co-pilot of the doomed Germanwings A320 “voluntarily” put the aircraft into a dive and was alive until the moment of impact, the Marseilles prosecutor said citing a transcript of the last 30 minutes of the cockpit voice recorder.

The first 20 minutes of conversation between the pilot and co-pilot was amicable, then the co-pilot took over when the pilot left to make a “natural call”.

At this point, the co-pilot accelerated the plane’s descent using the keys of the monitoring system. The prosecutor described it as a “voluntary” action.

In the remaining 10 minutes there are a number of appeals by the pilot to get access to the cockpit but there was no access, the prosecutor said. The pilot knocks on the door but there is not response. There is the sound of breathing from the co-pilot until impact.

    Not shocked.

This was always going to be the most obvious cause, pilot error or a mentally unstable pilot.

Why don't the Pilot's have a toilet in their cabin?

No doubt there's scores of agents already all over the co-pilot's house, his laptop, mobile etc.

    Co-pilot not known as terrorist

“I think he refused to open the door and turned the button to get down the plane. It was a voluntary action on the part of the co-pilot... He is not known as a terrorist, absolutely not.”

Well it's good to see they've got their best man on the job.

You'd like to think that no airlines employ known terrorists to fly their planes.

The Aviation Business Gazette has this information on Lubitz.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is recognizing Andreas Guenter Lubitz with inclusion in the prestigious FAA Airmen Certification Database.

The database, which appears on the agency’s website at www.faa.gov, names Lubitz and other certified pilots who have met or exceeded the high educational, licensing and medical standards established by the FAA.

Pilot certification standards have evolved over time in an attempt to reduce pilot errors that lead to fatal crashes. FAA standards, which are set in consultation with the aviation industry and the public, are among the highest in the world.

All the reports are still purely speculative, read one theory the pilot had been 'brainwashed' into crashing the plane -'ie Project MKUltra' - how plausible that'd scenario be who knows, albeit at the end of the day if you're going to top yourself - what a selfish way to do it taking dozens of innocents with you

The 144 passengers only realised at the last moment what was happening. Screams were only heard in the last moments of the recording, before impact. Mr Robin said: "We only hear screams at the very end. Death was instant. It hit the mountain at 700km (430mph) an hour."

Small positive I guess, although that could be completely fabricated to offer comfort to grieving relatives.

Another victory for extreme religion it would seem.

The biggest epidemic on earth is being allowed to manifest, multiply and thrive with free will by all of the world's leaders, totally unopposed.

I haven't seen anywhere that this is terror related. Just that some loon has killed himself and a lot of others in the process.

Comparable to a school shooting by the sounds of it... And then he turned the gun on himself sort of thing.

    Does that not constitute terror?

Looks like a one man job to me, opportunist terrorist.

Could have been waiting weeks/months for that pilot to go for a piss in a short haul flight, just as well he didn't go for a piss whilst flying over a city innit.

I should have said terror in the name of a religion I guess.

I don't know what's what anymore to be honest. It's a mad, mad, mad world.

    Angry world mate.

That's why I try not to make enemies or hold grudges in any walk of life, there's already enough stuff to be angry about!

Bacon and masturbation are, ironically, all that's holy and pure in this world nowadays!
