It's the players' agents who usually leak the interest not the clubs, in order to create a bidding war.
Well then the club have obviously gone to great lengths to stop them doing that. Maybe paid a higher agents fee to keep it private.
I'd be happy with Phillips, considering his age he's always looked pretty good when I've seen him. He's got a reasonable goal scoring record as well, considering he rarely plays a full game.
