And some food for thought! rather concerning trends? considering what's happening around recent political voting -16th June 2016 - Jo Cox Murder. 23rd June 2016 - EU Referendum. 3rd June 2017 - London Bridge attack. 8th June 2017 - General Election. 29th Nov. 2019 - London Bridge attack. 12th Dec. 2019 - General Election.
 
What a complete schmozzle as well as a tragedy for the victims and their nearest dearest.
The perp is a convicted terrorist very recently released. One of those who helped disarm him is/was on day release. Himself a convicted murderer. Someone who lured and murdered his disabled niece.
Let's hope just because he has a most emblematic english name ( jack ford ) that his horrific past is conveniently forgotten because he helped bring down someone with an archetypal Muslim name.
Needs to be a major inquiry into the systematic failings of so many branches of the criminal justice system.
Lets also hope that bojo doesnt try and extract the maximum political capital from this tragic event. After all it his party and cronies that have presided over the mess for the past decade.

Oh I have no doubt that the Poundshop Trump will claim these people stopping the terrorist from further mayhem are a direct result of him and his party's policies. Boris never let's the truth get in the way of a good story.

A mate of mine used to be a senior probation officer. He says it is simple, not that many people commit crime etc, so when they are caught you lock them up for a long time and crime is reduced...
 
People like this terrorist have proven that they are a danger to society by conspiring to commit terrorism. That in itself is enough to have him taken out of society permanently. Should never have been let out.

Gaol did wonders fir Nelson Mandela. And those who get executed have an astonishingly low reoffending rate.

Not only that it probably costs a couple of grand a week to keep him in a high security prison. He's more than likely in Frankland at Durham.

The problem with this is the cost. Why should society pay thousands to keep these feckers alive for the rest of their lives.

Sadly martyrdom is what they want so publicly executing them plays right into their hands.

What we need is a system where they accidentally disappear without a trace, no publicity just never seen again. The soviets used to do it well.
