I think we're maybe talking at cross purposes here. I'm not blaming people for getting into difficult circumstances. I'm not saying the government shouldn't take care of people in difficulty. I'm just saying that blaming a government for the personal choices of anyone in any circumstances is wide of the mark.

"I'm just saying that blaming a government for the personal choices of anyone in any circumstances is wide of the mark."

Mate, I hope you never fall to the point whereby you don't have any idea what your 'personal choices' might be.

It's heartbreaking to see decent people in that situation.

There you go, on no higher authority than that great man of the people Boris. 1 in 5 people are either chavs, losers, burglars or drug addicts. Really respects us working class plebs does the great "Bojo"

You're right, it is heartbreaking and I hope also hope that I never fall that far. At no point though, would I have any leg to stand on if I blamed the government because I chose to respond to my problems in a self-destructive manner. If I blamed them for not putting sufficient funding into the organisations that could help me break the cycle of self destructive behaviour that would be a different matter. If the government were responsible for my problems, then that would be a different matter too. But how I choose to respond to any problem in my life is down to me and me alone.

Corbyn is a socialist whose only fault is he only sees the good in people is an idealist and wants to make a fairer society. Johnson is an over priveleged buffoon who was a member of Oxford's "Bullingdon Club" who's initiation ceremonies included standing on tables in Oxford pubs shouting "**** the plebs" and burning £50 notes in front of homeless people, all jolly japes with his chums (Call Me Dave) Cameron and Gideon Osborn. Labour is funded by Trade Unions, the Tory Party by big business and if you can't see which side of the fence these two parties are then quite frankly you should be diaqualified from voting on the grounds of mental incapacity. Peterlee, Blackhall and Horden's descent from a proud working class neighbourhood into a junkie infested no go area should give you a clue as to what a far right government thinks of your locale. Go ahead and vote for the Tories. You deserve everything these wonderful people will do for your area. Good luck and may God have mercy on you.
Corbyn is a person who tries to understand terrorrists. The list of people he defends is endless. **** him. He’d have the country overflowing with immigrants draining our resources of the NHS, housing, employment etc.
I live in a wonderful area of Peterlee. Recently retired and enjoying life.
I don’t vote Tory, but I’ll never vote for that commie bastard <ok>

Any vote other than a vote for Labour is a vote for the Tories. <doh>

Let’s face it, if it wasn’t for the arsehole Corbyn, Labour would win the election with a massive majority. The intelligent members of the British population don’t trust him.
If it wasn't for the unions the tramp wouldn't be the leader of the Labour Party anyway, but they made sure that Ed Milliband was chosen ('cos they could control him ?) ahead of his brother, David, who I believe would have been a far better choice, and Labour would have been in Government now with this credible leader.
We wouldn't have now been considering the best of the two current (poor) options if the unions hadn't massively cocked up all of those years ago, and the referendum (which we've already had and the decision made, by the way) would never have happened . . . . oh, and we'd never have heard of Corbyn.

If only . . . .

p.s. if you think that you've seen Corbyn recently in Coronation Street, as Roy Cropper's long lost brother, it's not him . . . . is it :emoticon-0112-wonde

give ower Peterlee Blackhall and Horden have been ruled by labour since i was a kid the problems are labour's decisions, it's because of not locking up junkies thieves pushers and local **** head gangsters that's the problem, same applies to California now full of Junkies homeless illegals and criminals due to the Democrats [AMERICAN LABOUR PARTY'S] decisions to keep them poor to vote for them, you really need to open your eyes, and stop reading the Corbynistas rag.

They have been run by Labour councils who have been underfunded by Central government which has been mainly Tory since 1979. My Grandmother used to have a caravan at Crimdon when I was a kid and we went there on "holiday". Horden and Blackhall was nowhere near as bad before those oh so benevolent Tories decided to mothball the North East.

yea typical response blame it on the tories,my parents voted labour all their lives ,what did labour ever do for them FEK ALL, every time labour was given the keys to the cash they ****ed it up and left it for the tories to fix it, Blair made us enter useless wars committed us to billions in overseas aid, and let the EU walk all over us, not to mention opening the doors to uncontrolled migration, but it's all the tories fault yea, if they did tighten the purse strings it was to stop labour frittering it away on arshole schemes.

In a longer term memory Winston Churchill said of the 1926 striking miners "Send the rats back down their holes" and even had the ARMY shooting at unarmed miners in Tonypandy. Who do we owe money to by the way ?
