Just to say this is a cracking bit of business for the club, really rate this lad..

Not bothered about injury records or ****e, I wonder how many times that was used as an excuse by management as to why they hadn't picked him but spent 12 mill on him? Huddlestone apparently had an awful injury record but has probably just enjoyed his best season ever at Hull.

Feels good this lad joining, another Claudio Reyna with flair. Ha'waaaaaaaay the laaaaaaaaads..<ok>

The fitness lads have already done exceptionally well with O`Shea, Brown, Catts, and now it looks like Fletch is getting there.

Less of a worry for me with that record.

It's a great signing Joe. Gomez and Rodwell for Gardner and Colback is a staggering improvement.

Agree mate, there's a strategy in our signings this year, let Harry Rucksack buy the obvious and once the brown envelopes are out of the way then the 'dapper' Congerton makes his move across the dance floor..<wink>

Hes only 23, alot of players suffer injuries when their young its part of developing.

Stevie G had the same problems.

He has an eye for goal. Some really outstanding efforts from outside the box while at Everton. Wouldn't it be nice to have a central mid notch 10 goals this season?

Joe, on another matter, Alvin Lee of Ten Years After died yesterday. Another legend gone.

A brilliant guitarist, was 13 when I heard 'Cricklewood Green', he took up pro photography in 1989 and studied hard, met him at a fashion event in Edinburgh in the early 90's. Love his stuff with Leslie West, so what was the cause of death?

Don't know, but I'll look into it. Just saw it as a headline on some site yesterday, remember thinking I should let you know. Loved his stuff. They kicked some ass at Woodstock as well. Held their own against the best.

when there was talk of us getting him on loan i wasnt that bothered as we have developed enough players for other teams. to get him signed to a five year deal is an outstanding piece of business by the club. hes still only 23 and looked class at everton. just need a few centre backs now and we could be set

Fookin hell, was just going to post that. Went to look and there it was. Saw the news yesterday, and it appeared that it just had happened. I'm getting as old as the ****ers dying off.

Then totally write me off..<doh> He always played a Gibson SQ semi acoustic (correct me if I'm wrong pops) and for me the extended 'Love like a man' was brilliant, really love the Leo Lyons bass stuff on that track as well..

Don't worry Jozy, there's people on the site that think Brian Eno wrote 'Oh Vienna', I think Midge Ure and Chris Cross might have something to say about that like <laugh>

Haha, my wife has been telling me for years my mind isn't straight. Might actually have to start listening to the poor woman.

Always a semi accoustic Gibson 335 mate. Replaced guitars as they fell to bits over the years but never changed the make or model.

Can`t remember ever seeing him play anything else.

Cheers for that Pops, always knew they were Gibson and semi-acoustic, a bit like Rory Gallagher for the replacing bit..<ok>
