Hey look, a political thread.
Most Americans understand we DON'T need a constitutional amendment to address mass shootings. There are a lot of things we can do rather than go crazy with panic gun control measures. The NRA actually has better ideas on this than does, say, the Democratic party. Firearms have always been easy to obtain and ownership widespread, but this hasn't been a problem until recently. The real problems need to be addressed, not the emotionally satisfying ones.

I think it's difficult to understand when you aren't a in the same country and don't fully understand the culture. It's easy to judge.
