Screen shot of progress we can expect to see tonight.
There are 3 sections of concrete tiers in now with two more steel works beside these. The top of the building roof is going in each time as they move wider.

Just as a topic on questions raised before
For the Kenny stand this imsage shows the distance between the enclosed end of the Sir kenny stand and the new anfield road end steel work. Basically the Redbrick to left/bottom, all the white and then the next bit of redbrick. this is NOT all going to move. beat that in mind.
this is the internal view at the old centenary stand the day that the new branding was put on it.
Note on the extreme left you have what is in effect the TV studio boxes and crowd control box.
the shots point out an area where the stant could be improved and raised a lit IF the regulations would allow.
The principle is as follows:
1. new anfield road end opens up new development opportunities without recourse to demolishing any housing.
2. By copying the roof structures and building concepts you COULD. build a new roof support the same as the main stand o nthe other side and build a new roofing structure over this current one.
3. The second tier of the centenary stand is horrid, lets not kid ourselvess. Its steep and narrow and that BUT.... There is at LEAST 2 blocks of seats missing on the two ends here that could now be build in. Further the concept of just adding rows to the back of the second tier is not "impossible"
this would in effect Add 3-4,000 seats and "finish" the look of the stadium so many keep talking about. WITHOUT demolishing anyone's house.
This image below shows the stand on also the KOP end. YOu can see again quite a lot of dead zone between the kop roof steel and the Main stand roof steel.
Again its up to the club to justify the expense of a new roof for vanity sake but there is a CLEAR opportunity to redevelop this stand.
This all being said, there is a MAJOR right to light issue with the skerries road houses.

You can see the church as the large building to the left and the park pub plus the derelict ground the council has left.
The road is obviously a busy a road but there were already "plans" in the councils approved listings to narrow it and have more pedestrian stuff.
the question has to aside about two premises that could be sold should they be offered the right cash i suppose..... ad then do the road works to make this road work. The issue is to the extreme left. theres a couple shops in there and really I can't see how the road can be reliably diverted without ending up with a roundabout or ploughing those 4 or 5 businesses out of it.
however take a look at this the kop steel work is narrower than both the kenny and the main stand so it is not "constrained" par se in getting wider.
this shot sort of shows just how much wider the new Anfield road end is compared to the kop. Its not great but you can see.
The kop roof again could come off after a new and more inline roof was added to the area using the same technique as the Anfield road end.
HOWEVER... for the kop its not a brilliant story here. Could you add more tiers, maybe, maybe not.
Can you widen it and join it to the main or sir kenny better, probably yes.
would it be cost effective.... no.
should it really matter to FSG to deliver this amazing finale to the anfield stadium.... well that depends who you talk to.
There is far more scope to move the road than there is to demolish houses. We have the designs and technical experience to reroof both stands and widen them significantly.

someone posted this on twatter from last nights pregame.
It gives a small hint to the utterly transformative built this is.
you also get a hint of the improvement to the corner of the main stand that removing that pile of ****e steel on the left will be. there's about 20 seats missing just do to that intruding on anfield main stand.

really get a sense of people looking up at this new stand from the small shed end.
theres no way anyone in the back of that stand will hear a word sung from the kop.

So in summary, neither the Kenny nor the Kop can be extended? Surely there is room there to put another tier on the Kenny? And at least widen the Kop? Can't it hang over Breck Rd, a bit like the Stapler hangs backward?

The Kenny is difficult due to meeting regs and not demolishing houses.
I read the current set up doesn't deliver right to light as it stands but no idea what that means.
The regs today don't align with regs when the second their was added so even extending the second tier to the same number of rows as these new two stands would be difficult.
I have shown ample widening possibilities but every seat will be GA and the upper concourse is tiny as well.
The kop can also be widened. It's already overhanging the road on the narrow side so there's only so much you can do. The same issue of regs comes up that the current set up doesn't meet regs.
The danger is take that roof off and stick a taller on on and the noise might be affected.
But no 1 is the transport links until that's sorted the club won't do a thing.
Certainly won't try buy everything up you can bet on that.
isn't there still a freight line half a mile away? surely that could be developed to run from Kirkdale on match days?

There something about pesky rules about distance to ground and it actually serving the community which is obviously radical thinking for the greasy pigs that have been caught with snouts in the trough that make up the council.
Anfield is the second most instagrammed place in Britain. Only big Ben attracts more tourists.
It is by far the biggest attraction in Liverpool, even the cavern doest come close.
And the council allow it to be hemmed in and dereliction all round it rather than exploiting it to the full.
For example; John holdings House. The club was founded in that house. It should be a money pit for tours, a museum. It'd be lapped up.
There's derelict ground on the main stand side, across from the kop. Zero effort put into the main road was promised.
The amount of bars, restaurants and hotels that could be built or done up to give gainful employment locally (not by the club btw, by locals) its sick the council couldn't give one flying **** about improving the area and genuinely exploiting what is a lynch pin in a massive tourist destination.
The story of the docks and all sorts of history to the musical tours to the football club is something that would pay in spades but the usual corrupt shifts were too bust triusering money left and right

This is a view of the stand full. Its dark, you can't see the back of it so it looks a bit bigger.
It's all about noise and cheapness
There's nothing about this stand that swanky or party piece.
The spurs home end isn't even noisy. It's done to take as much of a bowl as possible and call it the biggest their in an ego trip.
There's many an egotistical plastic red who can't take the kop is not as big
Wasn't the Hicks and Gillette Kop in the pretend new stadium designed the same way?
Yes, they had some pie in the sky giant kop end thing bit the rendering were abysmal for the 50mil they spent/stole or whatever.
The spurs thing is a large game section at one end up very open, airy and has.self.filling pint glasses.
The whole place sounds.good at times.bit it really is more from the whole stadium than that end I think.
Away fans can often still over sing them as well which says it's alm for show.
Now the everton effort looks a bit different but still has some issues similar to the spuds.

Lots or corporate around and a larger single tier steep stand. The whole thing is squite steep.
But the roof is not funnelling the sound.
It'll be interesting to see how their fans can boo their ownplayers effectively from this end.
Not much visually different from inside the ground today but from outside a lot of "detail work is visible on the stairwells and slabs of the seat rows going in.
The big news is 2 more large sections of roof are going up Monday and will be secured prior to the next game. Big progress is required to meet the roof off world Cup timeframe.
