Some locals have more videos up on you tube.

The view of the anfield road end this evening should be even more "obvious" than before.

someone did a shot early yesterday by drone and half the steps were not up and someone else did a walk but and all 4 sections of steps are up.

Mr drone will probably be along this morning and will have a good video.

Right now significantly more work is underway on the anfield road stand that would have been seen today if the ridiculous football ban was not in effect.

They are working out now from the central tiers now in place and are "filling in" the gaps left for the cranes

We now have all the blue, purple and orange up and the roof is actually the centre green and then the first of the black sections.

There will be one more set of trusses and one more set of front spans to be lifted once they get the concrete in.

    See below

    Yeah, well.... small minds.

There was an "opportunity" when the main stand started to move the entire stadium some meters and change the pitch length.

However we didn't do that as our solution to zero loss in crowds as it was working (aka no loss in revenue and cheapest build possible) was to retain as is the lower tiers of the main and anfield road end stands.

this has restricted our pitch to 101m long and pinned the stadium against the walton breck road.

FSG would never sustain the bill that spurs ran up for their white elephant build. they around us 120mil and have had us pay that back (though suspended, not forgiven) during covid.

12mil every year goes out to them to pay that back despite them seeing a 10X increase in asset value and enabled them to see 10% of FSG to red bird and already pay every penny and more back to them.

they made us pay for kirkby at 50mil out of our own pocket

They've made us pay the 80mil for anfield road end out of own packet. this is why these two projects ran back to back not concurrently.

It'll never be 75K, the council have left lands derelict around the ground and will do small minded projects eventually. FSG( not LFC) should be buying that hotel site and throwing up a vastly profitable hotel business but they are not arsed.

the Kop expansion will not happen simply cos the are so scared of SoS kicking up a fuss if they dared to by the pub, chippy and church land on the other side of the road. This has a direct knock on as eventually the council will narrow the a road per plan right along the current route and lock the entire kop site in.

but most of all. theres a long term investment possible for rail in the area at a mere 30mil (would pay back over time) and again FSG have zero interest.

the long terms here is the boston based business group is only interested long term in Boston red sox and when john henry is done the company except for red sox is to be liquidated. aka sold.

We are simply an asset accruing value on a shelf to them. Simple as. There's nothing sinister in this, it is what it is. they've done their part as they see it in growing the business and brand to the point it has top 10 revenues globally. they see this as growing the value of the business. not fans in seats or trophies in cabinets.

A nice bit of progress. The final major roof span on the Sir kenny side is now up so the crawler crane is now lying flat which suggests its now going off site.

As the games this week were away (rangers) and then we play city this weekend I would expect the next row of seating slabs to be erected on the main stand side and the final roof back span to be built on site. (not sure if lift will occur unitl next week west ham is a home midweek and then its forest away and ajax away so expect a lot of work during next week again.)

please note. the first bits of tying things together and roofing is going on. This looks to be then tracking towards schedule for the anfield road roof to come off during world blood cup and the final new roof to shelter the fans for rest of season.

    Remember
this IS your new midfielder, this is what we have spent the clubs cash on so be grateful.

There's a major bit of progress done this week. The 5th roof span is on, they lobbed up the concrete as well and threw it up today so they.must be sending the big cranes off side now.

I would have though thr front bit of roof needed another 2 sections but unless they are building now for.immediate lift I guess not.

as stated, this is a major bit of work done this week.

From here the plans show there will be three more blocks per side and these start to reduce at the top now and thats the next stage.

It looks like the roof parts ae going on over the completed rows as well.

there's a screenshot of where the progress is. huge amount over the last 2 weeks compared to some other times so the hope if the afield road end roof comes off during world cup and this roof is actually in place with floodlights for first game back.

    A lot of work ongoing.

The skd stand side is getting filled in around the crane and a lot of different things happening.

Right now both sides are building the entrances onto the terracing and the roof join up is being done.

There's services going in as well so the prep for the roof coming off is rapidly approaching the kick off on the 24th of next month.

Some big news and one of Mr drones better videos for a while.

Seems we are BEHIND and have given up on the roof in the world cup

Probably been too wet to do a few bits so it's going to have to be a big effort in the summer.

Strongly suspect we will request first games of new season to be away per main stand.

Frost seems to have all day and likes to take his time on the ground shooting all sorts of fun stuff and dull stuff tbh but he does a good job.

For the most part he and Mr drone do a good job and are responsible about it, I don't post frost's as this lot would scream at a 40minute youtube clip

    Frost is a Liverpool fan
    Nick is a bluenose.

There's a few flying drones who are taking no account of safety so these two are the ones to look at

As an engineer I am sad enough to enjoy watching the steel erectors doing up bolts!
Like you, I only watch mister drone and Paul Frost as they pretty much cover all I want from both construction sites. Because they seem to behave responsibly, they also get a few updates from the lads on site.

There's a few that have been right tossers tooth drones.

The bramley Moore build and the anfield road build are radically different in complexity and sequencing so it's interesting see the approaches taken

Everton fans are going to love their new home once it's done if they can keep groups together. West ham ruined their atmosphere by not grouping same fans from same areas together.

The thing about anfield is not breaking up groups as we are not removing capacity to add on.

the main stand expansion has taken about 4 years to become it's own entity and identity due to incresse in fans up in the gods. And tbh there's a huge amount of one off.visitors in that crowd.

This new stand will have a.mix of upper tier seats and new fans so has to develop its own identity.

I find how they are building the stand round the old one fascinating but there's compromise in doing it this way compared to the new bramley Moore.
