But why would he want to sit on the bench with them two clubs. Obviously a money grabbing twat so probably a good thing we didn't sign him
In truth much of this talk is speculative I think we should recognise as most do we are bringing in players of a caliber we simple could not imagine playing for City not that long ago , in reality this process began with Huddlestone. We have 3 players with England caps 3 who played in the last World Cup finals, even Curtis despite being uncapped is widely acknowledged as one of the best central defenders in the premier league. Everywhere in every position we have players who are also internationals. Christ I remember when Jamie Wood playing for the Cayman Islands ( or was it Bermuda ) was big news. Bruce has done exactly what he said improve the squad at every opportunity there may be more to come in but let's just take in what we've already got.
Honestly, it looks like we've moved on and would struggle to find space for him. Maybe if we move one or two out.
Serves the vain **** right. The funny thing is that the tiger nation were gutted at the start of the day yesterday by this news but by close yesterday we couldn't care less.
So this **** didn't sign for anyone? I wonder why he wanted to sign for QPR rather than "a club like us"? Mercenary.
I presume rightly or wrongly that Ayew was the player Brucey referred to as being the overseas player that we'd had an offer accepted for? It subsequently turned out that Ayew rejected City as not being the 'right type' of club. If we are not the right type of club then there's only one answer to that, we wouldn't bow to his over inflated ego and pay what at face value were his high wage demands! Clearly if the guy considers The Dramas to be the 'right type' of club then it can only be his salary demands that scuppered any deal. http://www.modernghana.com/sports/567013/2/andre-ayew-stays-at-marseille-after-failing-to-rea.html As it has turned out, Brucey has pulled off another master stroke potentially in signing Benny and would hope if he's playing well that we can tie him to a permanent contract come January or next Summer. The Dramas are welcome to Ayew come January when at face value it appears he will move, enjoy the money Andre, QPR certainly know how to 'flash it'! For me what this also says about our club, is that whilst Brucey and The Allams are eager to keep moving the club forward, this demonstrates this won't be at ANY PRICE.
As true as that may be, this prick was also considering Swansea so it was hardly a geographic thing, it was all to do with him demanding £100k a week, and even 'arry told him to do one! So **** you Ayew, I hope you rot in France, as you obviously represent all that is bad about professional football today!
As with Andre so too Jordan Rhodes , though he was maybe not as dismissive as Ayew, he must be wondering what he has done especially as Blackburn have not exactly set the championship alight. I've noticed not one single comment in any of the transfer related threads about him, in fact I doubt anyone would suggest that Hernandez at 9.5 million is not a bargain and an upgrade on Rhodes. Rhodes cannot even make the Scotland squad. Perhaps he was content to remain a flat track bully...sad but that's the way it goes. I also see the Hull Daily Mail says we have 'arguably' the best squad ever...who the ****s arguing !!
Rhodes did absolutely nothing wrong and I'm sure he'd have been happy to join us if Blackburn had accepted an offer. It's far too early to say if we got a better deal, Rhodes is the best striker in England, outside of the Premier League and has a goal scoring record that pisses all over Hernandez', hopefully he'll remedy that this season.
