The club have just announced that the game against Burton will be postponed. I really hope we don't have too many of these this season as I really believe that the ridiculous fixture pile-up was (part of) the reason why our season went off the rails last year.

Double edged sword isn't it

If we play with a depleted squad and fail to win...…
If we postpone and struggle with fixture congestion...….

My annoyance is that it is a Saturday 3:00pm fixture that will become midweek which is rubbish for young kids and fans who live elsewhere

Bolton is the boxing day game
There's a few quid down the drain for the Club if that turns out to be a fixture-free day for us

Ouch.

That would actually have been a big drawer if they weren't in the ****.

Nads
the rest of the league will be playing their allotted fixtures for that date so there won't be an opportunity to play someone else.

Yeah I appreciate that mate but could use that week we’re we would have the spare time, the Tuesday after or whatever, so we aren’t forcing 4 games in a week into late season.

Ipswich will be below us if Bolton go, as their 5-0 will be nulled/cancelled. A big shame though surely these mutli millionaires could have helped Bury and Bolton, just kept them going to the end of the season. A friendly against Newcastle on boxing day would be good ! Steve would get a 'warm' reception. Sorry nads you are right give the team a rest.
