We had several hours of freezing rain a couple of weeks ago and the city was covered in ice. The hospital emergency rooms were slammed with fall victims with sprains and breaks and surgeries were cancelled as staff were redircted. Some resolute souls took the opportunity to skate:

Some new coal fired power stations?

That's so old hat now, 21st century advances mean we now chop down trees in America, chop them up into little bits, send it by ship to Hull, put the bits into lorries or trains which take it to a former coal powered station which just happens to be sat on some of the best coal in Europe.

That happened once in Aberdeen when I was up in Scotland, there is quite a steep hill on one of the roads out, and watch car slide backwards bumping into each other did have a comical side to it. I was trying to get back to Hull that afternoon for my youngest daughters wedding, which was the next day, in the end gave up, and went home and started my journey at midnight getting into Hull for breakfast.

Laughably, emotional support animals on US internal flights has become a real problem in recent years. It has become an entitlement and airlines have just had to accomodate it.

Some people are clearly taking the piss however to see what they can get away with.


A classic case of idiots passing a directive without anyone thinking through the consequences.
