You probably won't believe this, but I walking through Anlaby the other day and there was a family coming the other way. Looking quite normal, not in fancy dress for example...only that Dad of the family was wearing a sombrero. Not in an ironic way, not in a jokey way...he was just wearing it. Presumably because it was sunny
Fair play to him. It was one of those 'bought on holiday' ones too with ornate patterns on it

I believe you Den...simply because I wear one myself every weekend in the torrid summers over here...not so ostentatious as that bugger in the photo, but when I'm managing my football team (well, as a glorified water-boy really), there's no bloody shade on the park, so the ****ers essential. Got it on a trip to the Yucatan 30 years ago. Bastards call me Pancho <laugh>

A neat trick if you've no ladder. I guess you have to wait for the stairs to be built to get down though.
