We looked out the window, and the nosey woman across the road, who was rarely seen, apart from peaking through the curtains, was doing just that. So we got the finished dummy and threw it out the window, only to see her come out of the house and run across to the front garden. She wasn't amused, but we were.
A drug "super cartel" that controlled about a third of Europe's cocaine supply has been dismantled, police have announced. Dubbed Operation Desert Light, 49 people were arrested across six European countries, the EU's police agency, Europol, said. They included a British national, who is suspected of heading the operation. Over 30 tonnes (30,000kg) of drugs were seized during the two-year-long investigation, Europol said. Operation Desert Light saw authorities in Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) work together to bring down the cartel, Europol said in a statement.
Pop star Dua Lipa has been granted Albanian citizenship for promoting the country through her music and fame. The star was born in London in 1995 to Kosovan-Albanian parents, and briefly returned to the region as a teenager. Albanian president Bajram Begaj said Lipa had made the country "proud with her global career and engagement in important social causes". The New Rules singer said it was "an indescribable great joy" to accept citizenship.
