Yet when it wasvannounved they were coming to Hull there was much excitement and talk of it showing how Hull was progressing.
Guess we'll have to wait a little while longer for it to catch up to Norwich. But never fear, something like Poundland will open another store.

Bray or pagger - as in to beat up someone.

Are these unique to Hull, never heard used since I left Hull. Doesn’t stop me still using them!!

Do we need a separate Hull words thread

Judging by the example used in the Urban Dictionary, it looks like bray is one of ours...

    bray

    To beat up

The baines are larking down the tenfoot braying someone for skagging their pattie and chips.

Actually you're wrong, most of those originated in Norwich - because as we know, Norwich is the greatest place in the universe and if you even question anything to do with the place you are an imbecile.

    You're, Kemps, you're.

Once again my reply was due to me replying to someone posting because they have an inferiority complex where Norwich is concerned.
But, don't forget, one of the things about Hull folk is they don't give **** about what people think. Which is why they never bite. <laugh>

I’ve got the senile old **** on block, got sick of him bleating the same old ****e on every thread.

The funny thing is, although I can’t see his posts - I can still tell when he’s posted due to the reaction of other posters :)

That's exactly what he doesn't seem capable of understanding. You can't post the same thing day after day, without boring people to death.

Sorry Castro but you're now on ignore for me too, which is a shame really.

You can make some very good posts about bands you saw and stuff you saw.

The Hull thing just over ran its course.

Good luck and stay well mate x
