It was Int’l Women’s day on Sunday , when it’s the Women’s day can we recognise the following :
All the roofers with effed up knees and fingers
All the road builders with the same
All the arthritic steel fixers with swollen fingers
All the brickies and hod carriers with shot hands and knees and hips
The tin bashers and welders
Plumbers Electricians
Farmworkers
The steel workers and engineers with asbestos filled lungs dying of cancer or not yet

I’ve only listed a few of the body breaking joint buggering trades that get no recognition compared to their counterparts . It’s not a them and us it’s my personal appreciation of people who over a long period do themselves in and are not appreciated in my opinion by anyone . The hospitals are full of them .
Then there’s the mental health ( proper) that can cause a bloke to feel worthless if he’s no longer ‘required’ and he takes the wrong way out .
Can’t list everyone sorry .

I wonder why you haven't heard of the 28th of April. All the above, and more, are recognised on that day.

Just googled it , didn’t know it existed . In years to come there’ll be a Benefits Day , for all those who’ve spent their whole lives doing f*** all . This will exclude all who have tried to work or genuinely can’t work for valid reasons .

It's also International Workers' Memorial Day, to remember those killed or injured at work.
It isn’t also St George’s Day is 23rd so separate. And to save you googling to try and score a point, in certain circumstances St George’s Day can fall on a different day if the 23rd is a Sunday. But it being on the 28th is once in a blue moon,
