Aye you may love the food, if they haven’t gobbled on it before serving it to you first, a survey this year found that 13% of Turks view us positively,( Prob Acun and his mates) while 72% view us negatively, they haven’t forgiven us for the destruction of the Otterman empire and the fact the fought and lost against us during the First World War because they changed sides and joined Russia, funny how Erdogan is one of the few leaders to side with Putin on Ukraine.
You go to Turkey, a place where they openly hate Christians.

Maybe the survey was based on Turkish people that had met you.

Steve, from your comments on here, you seem to have a lot of problems with ppl and get in more conflicts than is usual - whether they're from the United States, France, Turkey, Irish and even from different towns and cities in the UK. If you're continually getting paranoid about being hated for being English and seeing enemies everywhere, then it's more likely that the problem is you and how you're perceiving the world.

It's a funny old world when Turkey our nato allies were helping isis in Iraq and Syria by buying oil from them, this was stopped by our enemy Russia who went into the area which had largely being over seen by our friends the Americans for years to drive out isis. Aiding the Russians were our friends (but only a little bit) the kurds, who after sorting out isis got bombed by our friends the Turkish.

Very much a simplification but it goes to show how complicated things are in the world.

It's Putin who claimed Turkey was involved in smuggling ISIS oil and I'm sure you know how reliable he is.
