Morons and “communities” who would not be in this country, or any other one in Europe, if it wasn’t for the people like those who flew Lancasters and did other things at a lot younger ages than what some consider young is when it comes to kicking a football.

As long as we remember that our veterans defeated a regime that was very unwelcoming to visitors

At the risk of getting political, which 'visitors' are you referring to?

The visitors to the country we helped defeat.

Can't think that anyone will criticise the sentiment, but the design won't be to everyone's taste.

They're fundraising for the £90,000 for the steel frame from private individuals and business.

I actually know of some who do critique. All from the younger generation. Not many mind.

    Doesn’t sound very much
And if they’re having to crowd fund that have they got enough for the statue itself?
Did t read the full article, but unless there is something I’ve missed regarding funding I suspect it’s a pipe dream

Tigers have always been my favourite animal and not because of City, it's because they're such stunningly beautiful animals, love 'em to bits.

I agree, I remember thinking how great they were from the Esso adverts on TV from when I was a little kid. Just stunning really.
