Yeah I remember that game … I’ll have been about 14/15, stood half way down Kempton opposite the away fans … was glad there was fencing up cos they were absolutely mental. The atmosphere was amazing, shame we don’t get that nowadaysYep, I remember that one too, didn't Steve Massey bag a brace?

Brid Town came from a goal behind and a man sent off to beat Knaresborough Town 2-1 in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary round replay last night. Now through to the Preliminary round.
.Great drama about it years ago. “ A captain’s tale”.Beat me to it! They play West Auckland Town away on August 16th. Bit of trivia, West Auckland Town are the holders of the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy, which they won in 1911 (and in 1909). They beat FC Zurich in the semis, and then Juventus 6-1 to win it.
Apparently, there's an urban legend whereby the FA wanted nothing to do with the competition and refused to send a league side at first. Eventually, they decided to send Woolwich Arsenal and the secretary at the FA was handed a note that said "contact W.A." and rang West Auckland instead. Probably not true but funny nevertheless.

Lisa Nandy was on LBC and said the new regulator will have the power to compel owners to sell clubs in extreme cases of mismanagement.
