Actually, I completely agree Bergy. This is the Brummie who used to do an early evening show isn't itAa? - The ventiloquist's dummy with the scrunched up face who would be slightly better on radio because he wouldn't insult one's eyes as well as one's ears at the same timeAa. What the hell was heAa ever doing on TV? On the odd occasion he slipped into my living room when watching an England match, I have always changed channels immediatelyAa. He is so catastrophically awful. He puts his "err"s at the end of words, with a punchy 'Aa' soundAa doesn't he? - I think "Aa" is thickie Brummie speak for "err" and it is simply intolerableAa. My apologies; that last one's unfair: intolerable is not in the football dictionary - which is limited to unconjugated verbs to be used as nouns. In his defence, the thickie Brummie has an IQ which matches the lowest common denominator on the terraces, present company excepted of course! P.S. I have nothing against Brummies. Only this one. His employers are taking the Mickey out of their audience. It's almost as if one of them had the thought, "I wonder what we can actually get away with?"! Utterly unbelievable (in the most literal senseAa).
- what puzzled me was his marriage to Jane Garvey, who seemed highly intelligent with a subtle sense of humour. She worked with Peter Allen on Radio5.
Can they coax Murray out of semi-retirement? I like the current commentary, but 5live in practice at silverstone with murray joining them was brilliant.
