It's something that football fans are continually discussing.
Who would get in their clubs all time 11. Would players from past seasons be able to compete in today's game?
Who would get into your alltime11?

Stanley Mathews, Greenoff, Fuller, Stein, Banks are the ones who stand out to me.
Add Alan Hudson and Terry Conroy to that list, both would stroll it. I've not seen a (better) footballer since Hudson who could not only pass he could create, beat player's before they got close to him and score goals. IMHO the best Stoke City all round player ever, after Matthews who I did'nt see that much of in truth.

I don't think there are many teams who would have a goalkeeper of the class of peter shilton on the bench and with matthews on one side and chamberlain on the other we would terrorize any team of any age. With wingers like them even crouch would score more goals than Messi.

For Crouch read John Ritchie.
Of whom David Coleman said "he's got a head like a football boot"

I was always a Peter Dobing fan oh and Tony Allen.

Hey ho

Hoekstra, instead of Sir Stan or Conroy ???
That's a brave call, close but no cigar. In my opinion of course.

Or Smith and Bloor rather than Ryan and Huth.

This by the way is the best pub game in the world as long as everybody respects each others opinion.

After a couple of pints - fat chance.

Shawcross and Huth are the best pairing CBs we have ever had at Stoke IMO, I honestly believe that (as a pairing) they are the best CBs in the prem. Only Vidic and Ferdinand come close but they are always injured. Im not saying that they are the best individualy but as a pairing I havent seen anything like them since Bruce and Pallister for Man Utd.

Oh c'mon JM - you know the answer to that.
An absolute no brainer with all of that array of attacking talent.
