Allardyce is brought in for a specific job and he's very good at doing it. From the outside looking in, he's done all he possibly could and finished high up. Having to sit through **** football every week isn't ideal though and is probably only accepted to get results at the lower end of the table.
No doubt he'll have another job offer from a team in the bottom three come October.

Regardless, the most important stat is the points total. They finished 8th and that isn’t bad.
