BTW, I did see shack play - in Monty's testimonial. Anyone else remember that? I was goin to put him in the team but thought I was being too pretentious - just a bairn on here and all that.

I think that's a bloody good side Bobby.

Great balance, threat down the wings, rock solid/hard CB pairing, and wing back's who are good on the ball.

A centre mid with an eye for goal, paired with a master tactician for breaking up the oppo, skill and trickery aplenty down both wings.

Add a penalty saving hero GK and a strong bench, including magic, Gyan and Bent, and that team would be challenging the top 6.

Comm, Gyan's on the bench, but i nearly went for Gabbiadini..

It's a great side, and would wipe the floor with our current team, no doubt.

The equivalent today would cost a fortune.
 
When I first wrote this I think I was still a bit raw regarding Bent. Suppose I still am but as I've seen him......

He'd have to warm the bench!

Unless Quinny and Gabbi were fit! Wish I'd seen Clough for my XI.

I'd pay every penny i have to watch that team mate, that team, all in their prime, would be absolutely sensational to watch.

How much of a shoe in was Kub's for right back mind? I contemplated Gray bench, Julio LB and Magic in, but i always liked Julio further forward.

Just noticed you left Johnston out for Arca, tough one..

Not a problem we have these days, fighting for places on the left.

But Johnston l/w and summerbee r/w was also special. Phew, tough one.... Either or, for me. How we wish for these same problems.
