Your definition may mean you win a literal argument and that you can cling onto a fact. It doesn't answer the questions that you want though.

I don't particularly want any answers, I'm simply responding to the statement as it was made, which was; "Every terrorist is an atheist in theory". Which is clearly false.

I don't think it is personal tbh

I use the example of that woman from that TV show, Muslims like us or whatever it was called, saying she was Muslim but didn't pray instead wrote letters, didn't cover and felt didn't need to and wenr clubbing etc as she felt she could. Sure she can do all of that if she chooses but Muslim she isn't. She has denied God
Buy still believes that God loves her and that she had a place in her version of heaven. She is at peace with herself and maybe closer to God than anyone. If there is a God of course.

If he believes in the possibility, then he could still be an atheist.

If he believes god was an alien, then he is not an atheist.

BTW. If, as I suspect, you're trying to claim Dawkin's is an atheist, I couldn't give a ****, I know very little about him and don't follow his writing.

I don't claim he is

This is the problem when you don't address simple questions like definitions.

What is God? For example. If its simply a creator then you cannot be atheist if a possibility of a creator exists in your mind

She may have denied your god, and not meet your definition of a muslim, but she's still not an atheist, as she believes in a god.

That would be impossible though because the very God or faith she insists she follows says to do what she does is disbelief in that God and faith

Its like a cheeseburger eating vegetarian

It doesn't really matter to the statement at hand, which is "Every terrorist is an atheist in theory" If they believe in something they describe as a god, or gods, then they are not an atheist.

I take it you accept that their belief means that they are not atheist?

If the person arguing believes that the God in question could not possibly exist then the person worshipping that entity is worshipping nothing at all. By definition you are still correct but from a faith point of view the person in question might as well be following Bagpuss.

They don't believe though so they are atheist

Nope, the baggage attached to that god is irrelevant. They believe in A god, ergo, they are not atheist.

There are many logical fallacies in religions. How can a book define a god as all powerful and all caring, and then follow it with stories of suffering? That means the god doesn't meet its own definition.

Its not my definition, its clear cut she denies that God and doesn't follow another so us atheist

Nope. She describes herself as believing in that god, therefore she's not an atheist. Her actions are irrelevant to the theism/atheism issue.

You're mixing up the context.

If I don't believe the god the muslims follow, it doesn't make them atheist because of my non-belief, even if they may as well follow Bagpuss.

Religion isn't being followed so you adding random arguments is irrelevant to people in the example I gave

What do you define as "baggage"? Eating no meat is " baggage" for a vegetarian if he is eating cheeseburgers he isn't a vegetarian.

What you follow or don't is not the issue though

By claiming to be a Muslim the person by definition (that word again) is saying there are no Gods but Allah. But then their actions are saying they don't follow Allah either so no Gods

Explain to me what atheism is again?

Baggage is everything that comes after the belief in god(s). Call it something else if it makes you more comfortable.

Religion doesn't have to be followed to be a theist. If someone believes in god, they're theist no matter what else they do.

If someone doesn't believe in god, they're atheist, no matter what else they do.

You may think that there is only one god, but not all believers do. Some believe in god, but reject the one you follow. They are theists, not atheists.
