Not sure....we did play some good stuff when he was here. However,I've bought into TM seeing the improvement in our players since his appointment, and,I'm growing ever more confident in our future as it stands. You never know,Neil jumping ship and us getting Mowbray might prove a real turnaround in our prospects.
Alex Neil walks into the training ground and bumps into the U23 manager. "Morning Alex, got to say your looking good but smell a bit funny" Alex then bumps into the Stoke Chairman who says "Morning Alex, got to say you're looking good but, you smell a bit funny" AN then bumps into the club captain who says "Morning boss, you're looking really good but you do smell a bit..well..funny" Alex Neil decides to see the club doctor to find out what his condition is He walks into the medical room and the doc says "Morning Alex, you look really good but smell a bit" Alex says, yes Doc that's exactly why Im here. Everyone Ive met is telling me I look good but smell a bit funny. Can you tell me what's up with me? The Doc gets his medical book out and starts flitting through the pages... "Looking good and smelling good...no not that one" "Looking bad and smelling good....no not that one" "Looking bad and smelling bad...no not that one either" "Looking good and smelling bad...here it is...Alex, you're a cu**"
Two more games. It would be just perfect if he got the boot after two more defeats. I would love it....
Would be superb. He’ll get loads of stick down there. Hopefully we perform better than his return up here
Stoke fans wanted him out at HT on Sat. They largely shut up come FT but he doesn't have a great deal of support - biggest gripes are his constant shuffling of formations and picking players out of position. He has an arrogance about him which works when you are winning, but grates when you are losing. We never got to see that as he was brilliant for us for that short time. We've moved on and have a far better fit for the club, but that's not to say I wouldn't raise a smile if we won at the Britannia (or whatever it's called now) and he got sacked afterwards FWIW, they let him recruit all his own players in the summer (18 of them) so I reckon he'll get until Xmas at least
One of the reasons he went and was happy to go so quickly. What we want is a manager who will see what players are being brought in and think ****ing hell I'd never find players like this if it was all down to me! TM no doubt mentions players he wouldn't mind in the experienced bracket and he got one this season. Alex Neil wanted to fill the team with experienced journeyman, he is showing at Stoke how that would have went for us! Can't wait until he is sacked and we drop points and Monty starts shouting from the rooftops that we need him back .
P.S things turned out for the best as TM works better for the club and how it's run! But he will still always be a **** for sitting at Stoke watching a match one hour after we finished playing in a match he didn't take whilst still employed at the club. Even if he ****ed off, was going and didn't take the match he should have politely declined sitting ext to their chairman at a match until he was done with us! I'd think the same if it was other way around, but would probably forget it a bit quicker
Barely 20000 at last night's match, fans voting with their feet, Goochie must look round at a half empty stadium and think what on earth have I done coming here, after all money's not everything surely.
Said in the past, I have no problem with anyone bettering oneself. I have a problem with the Sly, underhanded way he went about it. F**k him and f**k Stoke.
