The general consensus from those in the know in Scotland is that this guy potentially is a very special manager. It could be argued that this squad needs an experienced man to get them firing but actually what they need is someone who knows what they're doing! Why not gamble on someone who has potential? Appointing someone like Warnock doesn't get the juices flowing. Trying to find the next big thing does.
And judging by the reaction from most City fans across the Internet and such, they seem to agree on the whole. There's a bit of a spring in the step of Norwich fans again. It could all be a false dawn but at least it'll be interesting
The Canary Call idiots - sorry faithful - don;t share the majority view - they were in full flow on Radio Norfolk tonight. It was embarrassing to listen to them.
Just seen a clip of an interview with Neil Lennon on the Sky Sports website. He wondered if Alex Ferguson gave us a heads up about Alex Neil, given his association with Mike Phelan, which I thought was interesting.
Maybe we don't want tips from Sir Alex though after the whole David Moyes thing...

The one criteria I hoped for seems to have been met. He looks like a scary bastard to me, and after the Hughton niceties and Adams general lack of cohesion, I'm looking forward to seeing what he AN can do!
I think a manager with a nasty side suits Norwich. We get a lot of praise for being a "Family Club" and being general well behaved, so to have someone who'll tear things up and get players motivated is a nice juxtaposition.
EDIT: For the ippy fans, Juxtaposition means having 2 elements in close proximity that have contrasting effects. Hope I didn't confuse you too much!

The one thing that is blatantly obvious is that our "friends" from down the road either have not read my signature, or, more likely, do not understand it!

The Binners are clearly Rattled by the changes at Carrow Road so much so that they have spent more time trying to mock our new manager than concentrate on their own temporary lofty position at the summit of the division.
Failure to gain a place in the top three would be devastating for them where as there is less expectancy at Norwich going into the second half of the race for promotion.
They see going up as the answer to all of their problems notably their dwindelling crowds and colossal debt where as for us it would be nothing more than a tonic and a prospect to expand our already capacity stadium and add to our healthy bank balance.
The Premier league is all about money the necassary evil and life blood of the modern game it's the fuel that drives our clubs forward and for now we have 3/4 of a tank and Ipswich have been running on fumes for a while.
We have invested in a new steering wheel and may add some new tires and tune the engine in January ,where as Ipswich can only afford to polish the paintwork and possibly sell a few vital components just to keep going ,they could well conk out in a plume of black smoke and be forced to sell what's left for scrap in the summer.

This guy doesn't sound like a yes man. In fact the odd thing about this appointment is that his requirement for complete control seems to be the complete opposite of what the board wanted in the summer, where they were advocating a management team with reduced responsibilities for the manager. Change of heart?
