Jesus, what is it about January? So many people seem to pass away in this month!! Another legend departs these shores. So sad..

In before Chaos ****s on the parade.

I think that there's nothing of his that I disliked in terms of acting. One of my favourite roles of his is perhaps the only comedic Hollywood comedy of recent decades as the eternally typecast Shakespearean actor in GalaxyQuest.

Without Rickman films such as Prince of Thieves and Die Hard would have been simply unbearable.

Uncalled for.

Die Hard is a classic! I love Rickman as Hans but it doesn't live or die on Alan's performance.

RIP by the way. I adore his performance as the Sheriff in Robin Hood, a film I've always had a soft spot over. He has had his dark moments however; his performance as Eamon De Valera in Michael Collins was ****ing abysmal. Loved him as the villain in Quigley goes down under and his performance in The January man was good even though the movie wasn't that great, very quirky and kinda **** really.

Unless you look at the Bowie thread.

I don't need your input on this as I am fully aware of the Bowie thread and in some respects I can understand his post, I don't condone it but...

I do confess having my tongue firmly jammed in my cheek when I wrote that.

Fair enough but time to leave alone methinks, especially on another thread regarding a high profile person dying unexpectedly
