A football fan saying never heard of Alan Green, he is a complete idiot who works for 5 Live. I can't believe as a fan they haven't heard of him he commentates on almost all big games on radio. I guess they don't have cars and travel lone distances on match days.

...OR they can afford a TV.

I wouldn't really claim to be a football fan, I'm a City fan.

I do listen to the odd game on radio when driving about, (I go to other grounds and watch it on tv too if the fancy takes me) but I've never heard of Alan Green. I didn't even know he was a commentator. It's possible I've heard him, but I don't listen too much as most commentators seem to spout ****e rather than just inform you what's happening on the pitch. I don't know the other teams players, so often radio commentary's even less use to me.

Ironically, I noticed MOTD2 had started so I Sky plussed it to skim through, and when I put it on, at first I wondered why John Prescott was there. I can't say the odd little man looked or sounded familiar.

I dislike Greene with a passion. He is a pug ugly, short arsed little runt, who knows not much about anything.

This ^ plus when I do listen to football on the radio it's usually either Radio Humberside or Talksport. Hopefully Lakeside you're happy that I recognise the names Collymore, Brazil and Burns. Happy?

Who listens to farvelarve anyway, and who the **** is Alan Green? Never heard of the bloke, simply sounds like some know nowt, Leeds supporting, green eyed luvvie to me.

Alan green is a Liverpool supporter although he does seem to want "big club" leeds in the premiership for some reason.

Despite that I enjoy his say sarcastic commentary on 5 live and I seem to recall that it was because of his interview that saf spat bis dummy out and refused to speak to the BBC for years, which is a somewhat redeeming feature for me

The only thing Alan Green has going for him is his deep hatred of SAF.

That said, he wasn't the reason for the BBC ban...

Ferguson refused to give interviews to the BBC after a documentary called Fergie and Son was shown on BBC Three on 27 May 2004. According to an article in The Independent newspaper, the documentary had "portrayed his agent son, Jason, as somebody who exploited his father's influence and position to his own ends in the transfer market."

Well hopefully Green won't make this mistake again, since today he has learned that Hull is indeed situated in Yorkshire. If he does, then he is just plain ignorant.
