Is Pulev any good or is he a patsy to make Joshua look good? I've never heard of him but I only follow boxing very loosely.

Just watched it...he wasn't that impressive. Looking forward to Tyson Fury knocking him out. Joshua not in the same league.

It's a lucky dip alternative to a rhinoplasty, one punch from Joshua and your nose has an all new shape.

As I said I'm not knowledgeable about the sport but it seems to me that they keep on giving him slow underarm bowls so he keeps his rep intact. Was it Ruiz who beat him? If so I think that was a case of the plan going wrong because that guy looked like a patsy all day long.

Only seen the highlights but he looked back at his best from what I did see. I don't think he has looked that good since he fought Vlad.

Joshua was outstanding. He controlled the whole fight. Pulev is one of the hardest men out there, how he kept taking Joshua's uppercuts is beyond me. Joshua finished him in typical Joshua style with a beautiful right.
Pulev is no mug, he had previously only been beaten once in his career but was completely outclassed last night.

Seems Joshua is the next Lewis Hamilton, a massively gifted sportsman who people would rather slate.

He bosses the fight, it went 9 rounds only as he backed of a couple times. He was more offensive than I’d seen for a while, the focus was clear and whenever he attacked he looked very clinical, accurate and dangerous.

Pulev is at end of career but he’s been stopped once. Never a big hitter but almost impossible to knock down and in great shape. He was mandatory for a reason, he wasn’t gifted the fight or picked to make AJ look good.

We all want the Fury fight them I’d love to see AJ knock **** out of Wilder, if Wilder is even capable of getting himself into the slot for the fight.

I think Wilder is gone now. I could be wrong but that unbeatableness that made people respect him and give him a chance to windmill has disappeared.

He had that insane punch but very little ability beyond that.

Over his last half a dozen fights he has been rocked by garbage fighters and utterly outdone by class fighters, that punch pulled him out of some dire situations.

Anyone with a decent engine, a calm temperament, a bit of ability and a strong jab has got his number.

Both Ortiz and Stiverne should have put him away.

Totally agree mate, hence I said ‘if Wilder can even get there’

I’d love that fight just so AJ can knock him out and say ‘now **** off’, highly unlikely to happen now though.

Never sure what folk want from Joshua, he showed some of the offensive explosive stuff last night, and showcased again how much better a boxer and how he’s more measured since the Ruiz Jr fight. I though he was excellent last night and I really enjoyed it.

No denying Joshua had a drop in performance post Klitchsko but if he carries on at the level he appears to have reached, he will create a pretty impressive legacy.

Some people just won't like him now given what he has said and stood for. I don't think there is any helping that. They will be waiting for him to fail.

Absolutely mate. Same as Hamilton. Not judged in sporting merit.

You would love to see AJ just be aggressive from the off like he was in the 3rd, but then when you’re that size and you attack like that it stands to reason you’ll have a slow round after without a knockout as it’s got to be a huge drain on energy going big at that size.

Even the greatest over time had a bit of a time out on occasion, he’s got it all there to dominate the sport and to entertain.

I am not generally keen on boxing, too detrimental for mental health...I as put off way back by one if the Ali fights, just a slug fest.

Having said that even i might pay for the Joshua v Fury fight... hypocrite I know
